Inside Disgraced Former Prince Andrew’s Secret Palace Crypto Deals

A new BBC report states that Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, formerly Prince Andrew, arranged a private tour of Buckingham Palace for two cryptocurrency businessmen linked to a £1.4 million agreement involving his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.

The visit took place in June 2019. The guests were executives from Pegasus Group Holdings, a crypto-mining company that had offered Ferguson up to £1.4M through a commercial deal.

That same year, Pegasus publicly named Ferguson as a brand ambassador. The firm asked her to promote an off-grid data center project in Arizona, known as “The Hive,” which was pitched as a renewable energy venture.

The tour and networking event have resurfaced as the palace moves to strip Andrew of his remaining honors, adding fresh pressure on the already troubled royal.

UK media reports say U.S. businessmen Jay Bloom and Michael Evers were driven through palace gates in Prince Andrew’s car.

They later attended a Pitch@Palace event at St James’s Palace and had dinner with Andrew, Sarah Ferguson, and Princess Beatrice.

Did Andrew’s Royal Role Blur the Line With Private Business Interests?

The group bought only 615 of the 16,000 generators it planned to deploy. The project generated approximately $33,779 (£26,677) in cryptocurrency before it unraveled, resulting in losses for investors.

Ferguson received more than £200,000. A leaked agreement suggests she could have earned another £1.2M and shares.

Bloom says he never met the late Queen during the visit. Evers says he did. Buckingham Palace did not respond to requests for comment.

The disclosures come as the royal household steps up action against Andrew. On October 30, King Charles III began the process of taking away Andrew’s styles, titles, and honors.

And today, the UK defense secretary said the government is “working to remove” his last military title, vice-admiral, at the King’s request.

Andrew denies long-standing claims tied to Jeffrey Epstein. He withdrew from public life after a damaging BBC interview in 2019 and later settled a U.S. civil case in 2022 without admitting fault.

This palace-access moment highlights a long-standing concern: the fine line between Andrew’s royal position and his private business interests. It’s a pattern that has followed him for years.

Records show Ferguson’s work with Pegasus was formal and promotional. However, new reporting links that relate to special access inside royal properties and to investor losses following the collapse of the crypto venture.

The timing is striking. As the King and government move to remove Andrew’s remaining honors, the episode raises fresh questions about judgment and trust inside the institution.
