Michael Saylor, Cathie Wood, Eric Trump, and a roster of heavy hitters are set to headline Cantor Fitzgerald’s 3rd annual Crypto & AI/Energy Infrastructure Conference; it’s a three-day gathering at the Ritz-Carlton in South Beach

Sounds fancy, huh? I’m sad I didn’t get the invite.

The timing, however, couldn’t be more strategic as both the crypto market and energy-infrastructure sectors, like Nvidia, are at critical inflection points.

Before the conference almost all the speakers were making major moves. Meanwhile, Cathie Wood recently cut her 2030 Bitcoin target to $1.2M, citing the rapid rise of stablecoins. It’s a mix of bullish optimism and recalibration amongst the speakers.

Bitcoin’s correlation with energy infrastructure is well-documented: according to the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance, the Bitcoin network consumes an estimated 110 – 135 TWh annually, which is comparable to a mid-sized country. LOL

Additionally, “Bitcoin mining stocks” hit a 12-month high on Google in late 2025. CoinGecko pegs the total crypto market cap at around $3.5T, but open interest in Bitcoin futures has decreased by more than 30% since July.

What to Watch (and What It Could Signal)

Cantor Fitzgerald, formerly headed by Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, is promising new Bitcoin and/or stablecoin announcements at the event, particularly from firms developing AI or energy infrastructure. Panels connecting crypto with energy regulation could be the sleeper story in Q4.

Once major players make public commitments, venture capital and institutional money typically begin to flow. Although we wouldn’t bank on hype from the conference pumping the market, as even President Donald Trump’s recent promotion of Bitcoin and crypto hasn’t moved the market an inch.
