Starting with decentralization, Sui’s got the edge, scoring 19 on the Nakamoto coefficient to SEI’s 7, backed by a slightly stronger tech stack. SEI answers this with specialization. Its focus on fast, high-volume DEX activity has earned it the nickname “The DEX Chain,” and in that vertical, it’s outpacing most.

SEI moves nearly a million more transactions per day than Sui—4.78M vs. 3.78M —which is shocking, seeing as it’s 10x cheaper than Sui.

Moreover, finality lands at 0.48 seconds on SEI, edging past Sui. It’s a narrow win, but it backs SEI’s claim to DEX-first performance. SEI also dominates when it comes to daily active users, reporting 571,000 compared to Sui’s 243,000.

Why SEI Is Winning, Crypto Price Prediction For July

A key area where SEI shines is valuation. Sui’s fully diluted market cap (FDMC) sits at a whopping $30 billion, almost 20x higher than SEI’s $1.6 billion FDMC.

Remarkably, SEI outshines Sui in FDMC per daily transaction, with metrics showing SEI is much more undervalued for its ecosystem’s activity level. This stark undervaluation presents SEI as a strong candidate for growth.

So in closing, even after its recent run, SEI still has upside. Matching SUI’s $9B valuation would mean a 6x from here. SUI’s not out of the game either as it could double or triple if it reclaims old highs.
