At the time of writing, the asset is trading at $104,851, down 0.3% in the past 24 hours and roughly 6.3% below its recent peak. Iran’s biggest crypto exchange just got hit with one of the most unusual hacks in recent memory. A group called Predatory Sparrow, reportedly linked to pro-Israel operatives, drained nearly $90 million from Nobitex on Wednesday. But instead of cashing out, the hackers sent the funds to wallets no one can access. That means the money is gone, burned, making the heist feel more like a political statement than a payday. Iranian officials have yet to comment on the breach, but the move is already being framed as a blow to the country’s crypto-dependent operations. Not Just a Hack, But a Statement Blockchain watchers like Elliptic and TRM Labs tracked the stolen Bitcoin, Ethe…

Most crypto projects chase hype but Chainlink builds plumbing. The question now becomes is this model sustainable, or better yet, will it reward holders financially? As one user posted on X, “Fills me with joy knowing that Link marines will miss another bullrun and their token will crash back to $2 during the bear market.” (X) Quietly and consistently, LINK ▲1.18% has become the go-to solution for connecting blockchains to data that matters, from weather feeds to financial markets. With an aggressive 2025 roadmap and growing institutional traction, can $LINK make another 2- 5x in this market? LINK 2025 Roadmap Highlights Blockchains, by design, are secure but isolated…

Greenland Resources (Cboe CA: MOLY)(FSE: M0LY) secured on Thursday a 30-year permit for its Malmbjerg molybdenum project, a major development backed by the European Union. The open-pit mine is expected to supply roughly 25% of the EU’s annual molybdenum demand over its first decade of operation, producing an average of 32.8 million pounds of the metal each year. Molybdenum, a silvery-white element used to strengthen steel and improve heat and corrosion resistance, is critical to sectors such as aerospace, energy and defence. China, the dominant global supplier, recently introduced export restrictions on the metal, in response to US President Donald Trump’s tariff …

Federal Reserve's Governor Chris Waller, known in Interest Rates trading to provoke volatility, appeared on an interview with CNBC saying that "The Fed is in position as early as July for cuts." Fed Funds Futures haven't changed too much in terms of pricing of a cut (from 14% to 15% of a cut) but with such comments, expect big moves on any US Data that shows a weaker Economy. For a reminder, the Federal Reserve has been in pause since 6 months after cutting by 50bps in December 2024 as the FED "adjusted the policy rate with the dual mandate moving in the right direction". Based on reports from analyst Moustache, Bitcoin may be gearing up for its next big move. The world’s largest cryptocurrency climbed above $105,000 for the second time this week. At press time, it was trading at nearly $104,000, up 0.50% over the past 24 hours. Historical RSI Breakouts Could Signal New Push According to the charts shared by Moustache, Bitcoin’s monthly Relative Strength Index (RSI) tends to surge into overbought territory just before major rallies. Back in July 2013, Bitcoin sat at $66, then jumped to nearly $1,120 by November as the RSI hit high levels. A similar spike happened in May 2017, when BTC rose from about $1,300 to $19,700 by December. On Ap…

What will be Iran’s response to the US bombing? President Donald Trump just attacked and bombed Iran’s Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear sites and then called for peace. He just declared war; there is no going back. In response, crypto markets were as chaotic and capricious as the U.S. president, with Bitcoin crashing to $100,945 within minutes, slashing $40 billion from the total market before leveling off at $102,350. Meanwhile, Iran labeled the strikes a violation of the Non-Proliferation Treaty. It returned fire—literally—launching missiles deep into Israeli territory as the region tilted further toward all-out war. What else can we expect from this conflict and …

Bitcoin’s narrow price movement over the past week contradicts a much different development in the futures market. According to Axel Adler Jr., an analyst at on-chain analytics platform CryptoQuant, a sharp rise in the long liquidation dominance metric could set the stage for a significant shift in sentiment that may completely wash out bears from the market. Adler shared the data in a recent post on X, accompanied by a chart showing previous points that resemble the current setup. Long Liquidation Spike Without Price Crash The dominance of long liquidations has jumped from 0% to +10% over the past seven days, a move that typically shows distress among bullish traders. H…

After enjoying a wave of positive sentiment around global trade, President Trump appears to be shifting the narrative once again. In a public statement, he mentioned being "in the process of making trade deals"—only to later shake markets with two major moves. First, he announced the re-imposition of sanctions on Iran, citing a lack of gratitude from the Ayatollah, saying, “he didn’t say thank you.” Then, in a Truth Social post, he declared the cancellation of ongoing trade talks with Canada. The reaction in currency markets was immediate: USDCAD spiked nearly 900 pips in under three hours, surging back above the 1.37 level as traders priced in renewed trade tensions. …

Bitcoin returned to its familiar price range over the week after a dip last weekend brought its price to just under $99,000. This was followed by a bounce to the $106,000 price level, which has given bulls a reason to remain hopeful. However, on-chain data shows some deeper cracks are forming beneath the surface. The latest on-chain data from analytics firm Glassnode shows growing signs of fatigue in both spot and futures markets. These are conditions that may again cause Bitcoin price to retest $99,000. Price Support Holds, But Momentum is Clearly Fading Bitcoin has gone through multiple price swings in recent days, but it has found its way back to the narrow $100,000…

The current session is marked by low volumes but still sees pockets of volatility, with broad profit-taking kicking in after two consecutive risk-on weeks. Global equities are in the red, and cryptocurrencies are also under pressure. Despite the growing institutional interest, crypto markets remain somewhat rangebound. Bitcoin has been trading between $100,000 and $110,000 for over a month, while Ethereum continues to consolidate between $2,300 and $2,700. Investor access to cryptocurrencies is gradually becoming more streamlined, especially with the increasing adoption of financial instruments like ETFs. Nearly a year after the SEC opened the door to crypto ETFs, REX-O…

Bitcoin (BTC) prices showed a sideways movement in the past day producing no significant changes. Following the recent rejection at the $110,000 price range, the maiden cryptocurrency failed to break out of a descending consolidatory channel; therefore, fears on the current status of the bull market remain intact. Amidst the current mood of uncertainty, prominent market analyst Ali Martinez has identified two important support levels in the advent of a price downturn. On-Chain Data Reveals Strong Bitcoin Support At $106,500 And $98,500 In an X post on July 5, Ali Martinez shares a potentially impactful on-chain insight on the Bitcoin market. The Australian Dollar is coming off several weeks of strength, buoyed by broad market optimism and fading tariff concerns that have lifted global growth sentiment—typically a supportive backdrop for the AUD and other commodity-linked currencies. Australia’s economy remains resilient, with the unemployment rate holding near 4.1%. However, the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) expects the number to gradually rise toward year-end, adding to the case for further monetary easing. With that in mind, markets widely expect a 25 bps rate cut at the upcoming RBA meeting (Current 3.85% expected to get to 3.60%). While this move is largely priced in, surprises remain possible, especi…

Bankr, in a recent update, pointed out that Ethereum is maintaining its upward momentum, backed by solid volume and a more favorable news environment. Although brief spikes in volatility may arise from macroeconomic events, Bankr believes the broader trend remains intact, as long as $2,510 holds. Ethereum Three-Day Price Trend Action Analyzing price action over the last 72 hours, Bankr noted a gently rising three-day trend. ETH started near $2,535, spiked to $2,598, and is now holding around $2,571 — a gain of roughly +1.5% for the period. The strongest push came Sunday night when ETH jumped $50 in one hour on the heaviest volume of the week. Since then, the price has…

Overview: The capricious nature of the US tariffs, the tone in which they were announced, while still allowing time (August 1) to negotiate is the main talk. More tariff announcements are expected today. The dollar's upside correction was cut short, and it is weaker against nearly all the world's currencies. The jump in long-end Japanese government bonds (9-15 bp) has not helped the yen, which is the only G10 currency struggling to find traction against the greenback today. Among emerging market currencies, only the Taiwan dollar and Turkish lira are a little softer. Equities have done surprisingly well today, while bonds have been sold. Nearly all the bourses in the Asi…

One of the leading meme coins on the Base network, DEGEN crypto, is up nearly 20% in the last seven days, while the unofficial Base mascot, BRETT, is up 7% in the same time – signs are beginning to point toward an incoming Base altcoin ‘szn’. Currently, most on-chain attention is focused on Solana due to the recent surge in the Bonk ecosystem and the upcoming launch of the Pump.fun token, which is dominating social media’s attention. However, there is a valid reason to believe that the PUMP token could drain a significant amount of liquidity from the market, which is where Base can step in as a safe haven for on-chain degens.
