With the increased adoption of cryptocurrency and its inherent nature of facilitating simplified, cross-border transactions, there has been a massive crypto payroll surge over the last year. According to Pantera Capital’s 2024 Blockchain Compensation Survey, published on 5 August 2025, more than three times as many people received compensation in cryptocurrency compared to the previous year. Additionally, the survey highlighted USDC standing out as the most popular digital asset for payroll purposes. Interestingly, USDC made up 63% of all salaries paid in digital assets, way ahead of USDT’s 38.6% share. Other tokens like Solana and Ethereum trailed behind, representing…

After the announcement of the conclusion of the Ripple-SEC legal battle that began in 2020, the XRP price had surged by more than 12% in response. This brought the altcoin back above the $3 level to put the bulls back in charge of the price once again. However, there has been a slowdown in the price in the face of profit-taking, and a crypto analyst has suggested that the price could continue to decline toward the next major support level. Descending Trendline Break Not Enough To Hold Price Following the surge that was triggered by the Ripple-SEC announcement, the XRP price was able to break a descending trendline that had formed after its July peak. This break had seen …

Pro-XRP lawyer Bill Morgan has called out Jorge Tenreiro, who was the lead counsel in the Ripple case. This follows the conclusion of the long-running legal battle between the crypto firm and the U.S. SEC. XRP Lawyer Calls Out Counsel In Ripple Case In an X post, Bill Morgan revealed that the lead counsel for the SEC in the Ripple case is now a partner at a major law firm. The pro-XRP lawyer further stated that Tenreiro’s profile refers to some of his courtroom successes in crypto enforcement. However, he noted it oddly overlooks and does not mention his two-thirds loss in the Ripple case and the appeal he filed, which the SEC agreed to dismiss. In line with this, Mo…

Ethereum price kept its strength against Bitcoin today. Over the last 3 business days, ETH ETFs have been boasting with over $1 billion in inflows, pushing the price 5% higher during the past 24 hours. Most of the ETF buying happened during Monday’s selling, which clearly indicates buyer interest. One of the main points Mayne focuses on is institutional interest, particularly in the latest tweets and ETH buys of Tom Lee, Chairman of BitMine. The video also covers other tickers, such as BTC and SOL. Mayne highlights the core principle of trading that the price of any asset is ultimately defined by the people: the sellers and the buyers. Not some magical lines on the c…

Solana (SOL) is once again testing a critical barrier at $205 after surging nearly 8% in the past 24 hours to $203.5. The move has triggered a renewed optimism among traders who see the ascending triangle pattern forming on the charts as a potential launchpad for a breakout toward $255. According to analyst Lark Davis, Solana has been rejected three times at the $205 mark, but higher lows and sustained buying pressure suggest that momentum is building. “If volume continues to rise into this test, the setup points clearly to $255 as the next target,” Davis explained. Trading activity supports that outlook, with more than $9 billion in daily volume underscoring strong ma…

On-chain data from Santiment shows both Bitcoin and Ethereum whale address counts grew in August, signaling steady accumulation. Bitcoin & Ethereum Whales Have Seen Their Counts Go Up Recently In a new post on X, on-chain analytics firm Santiment has revealed how the whale populations have shifted on the Ethereum and Bitcoin blockchains recently. Whales refer to the key stakeholders of a cryptocurrency who hold amounts large enough that they can carry some degree of influence in the market. ⦁ GBP outlook has turned bearish: Sticky inflation, slowing growth, and tight fiscal prospects tilt risks to the downside despite earlier stability versus G10. ⦁ BoE likely to cut once more, then pause: After a split August 25 bp cut, a single 25 bp cut in November is plausible, with futures sceptical about further easing. ⦁ Inflation is persistent and services-led: Core ~3.8% y/y; services ~5% y/y; broad pricing pressure and elevated expectations keep disinflation progress limited. Recent performance and policy signals For most of 2025 sterling was broadly stable against the G10 basket despite a marked weakening of the US dollar and a modest strengthening of the euro.…

This morning saw the release of many data points that are making markets feel a bit easier: ADP Employment (which has been proving its recent accuracy) hasn't missed by a large amount, Unit Labor costs haven't risen much, Claims are higher but by a small margin and the earlier JOLTS (job openings) data is still far from bad. Overall, this week's data is the perfect recipe for the Federal Reserve to adjust their rates at the upcoming meeting (Sep 17), which would help with their current stance. A cut in the middle of a still growing economy would have been perceived as further hurting the FED's independence ; The thing is, the labor market is indeed cooling (but not fall…

An Ambitious Experiment in U.S. Coinage Among the rarest and most captivating coins in American numismatics is the $4 Stella. Produced only in 1879 and 1880, this short-lived gold piece was never meant for mass circulation. Instead, it represented an ambitious experiment by the U.S. Mint to create an international trade coin that could compete with Europe’s widely used gold standards, like the French 20 Franc and the British Sovereign. The name “Stella” comes from the star motif that appears on the coin’s reverse, symbolizing its intent to shine as a guiding light in global commerce. Though the project never advanced beyond a few hundred trial pieces, the $4 Stella remai…

Dogecoin (DOGE) continues to show resilience as it holds above the critical $0.21 support level, a price zone that has repeatedly acted as a launchpad for bullish momentum. At the time of writing, DOGE trades at $0.216, up 0.34% in the last 24 hours. Analysts highlight the emergence of a bullish cup-and-handle pattern with an initial target of $0.30, but the long-term projections are even more ambitious, pointing toward a potential 850% rally to $2 if momentum accelerates. A recent whale transfer of 900 million DOGE ($200 million) to Binance temporarily triggered selling pressure, but strong buying support quickly stabilized prices. This recovery is seen by many trader…

The poor US employment data fanned speculation of a 50 bp rate cut when the Fed meets on September 17. Even though more unwelcome news from the labor market is expected with next week's BLS annual benchmark revisions that could wipe out 500k-1 mln jobs (the adjustment last year was 818k lower), the risk of a large Fed cut may be exaggerated. An acceleration in headline CPI (September 11) may temper the enthusiasm for a large move. The ECB meeting is on Thursday, and the staff will update economic projections. There is little doubt, but that central bank will stand pat. Political developments may be more important. The French government looks surely to lose a confidence v…

Forex currencies have been dormant since the beginning of August as Markets haven't found what they want in the latest key data reports. As previously thought, the latest NFP, PPI, and CPI combo reports would have expected to relieve volatility in FX. But volatility there wasn't. After receiving all the most influential market data, the next step will be next Wednesday's FOMC rate decision (September 17). Prior to the CPI release, expectations for a 50 bps cut were priced at 10% and are now closer to 5%. The 25 bps cut, however, is still priced to be a sure thing. Indeed, when looking at Market reactions in other assets, it seems that the theme that is developing is o…

Solana’s token moved into the spotlight this week as reports tied renewed upward pressure to heavy buys by major players. Traders and on-chain watchers noticed large transfers off exchanges and a rise in holding activity. Galaxy Digital Buying Spree According to reports, Galaxy Digital has been one of the most active buyers, taking on more than $1 billion in SOL in recent days. Transfers out of exchange addresses and into private wallets were flagged by researchers. Reports have disclosed that this type of accumulation often removes supply from the market, at least te…
