Bitcoin has climbed 250% since BlackRock’s IBIT launch. But those massive green candles—spikes traders chase—could become a thing of the past. According to Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas, the era of sudden jolts up or down may be ending. He says that spot ETFs and big companies piling in will smooth out those drawdowns. Spot ETF Approval Era Balchunas pointed out that IBIT just passed $100 billion in assets under management. Based on his view, that landmark tells you everything. Bitcoin traded between $116,000 and $120,000 after Galaxy Digital sold 80,000 coins. No panic sell‑off followed. Before ETFs, a sale like that could send prices tumbling by double‑digit perc…

Ethereum has staged a strong performance over the past 24 hours, with its price rallying close to its previous all-time high. According to data from CoinGecko, ETH climbed as high as $4,837, just a touch below its 2021 peak of $4,878. The surge came after Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell’s speech at Jackson Hole, where he hinted that long-awaited rate cuts might be coming soon. Interestingly, Ethereum is not only performing well against the dollar but also against Bitcoin, where technical analysis shows a long-awaited structural trendline appears to be breaking in Ethereum’s favor. Analyst Calls Out ETH/BTC Breakout According to a recent technical analysis, which w…

Solana’s price action has shown some sort of resilience in the past few days while much of the cryptocurrency market turned red. After surging past $210 to reach as high as $218 on August 29, SOL briefly dipped below $200 but quickly stabilized, outperforming major large-cap assets such as Bitcoin, which has been locked in a decline since August 14. This has put Solana in an interesting position, and technical analysis shows its correction phase is constructive and could prepare the token for another breakout. Analyst Says Correction Is Important For Breakout Crypto analyst RLinda on the TradingView platform described Solana as stronger than the market. According to t…

Asia Market Wrap - Nikkei Extends Gains, President Trump Signs Executive Order on Japan Deal Most Read: GBP/USD Forecast: Cable Recovers but the Outlook Remains Murky. WIll NFP Data Serve as a Catalyst? On Friday morning, the positive feeling from a strong day on Wall Street carried over to Asian stock markets. This happened because new information continues to show that the U.S. job market is slowing down, which makes investors more confident that the U.S. central bank will cut interest rates this month. As a result, Asian stocks rose by 0.7%, and stock markets in mainland China also bounced back after they had dropped on Thursday. Japan's Nikkei .N225 rose 0.9% a…

Rare rocks buried deep beneath central Australia have revealed the origins of one of the world’s most promising new deposits of niobium — a metal vital for producing high-strength steel and clean energy technologies. A new Curtin University-led study has found how the deposit formed during the breakup of an ancient supercontinent, and that the newly discovered niobium-rich carbonatites were emplaced more than 800 million years ago, rising from deep within the Earth through pre-existing fault zones during a tectonic rifting event that ultimately tore apart the supercontinent Rodinia. The full study, titled ‘Multi-method geochronology and isotope geochemistry of c…

GBP/USD 5-Minute Analysis On Monday, the GBP/USD currency pair also traded higher and returned to its resistance area, which can rightly be considered the upper boundary of the sideways channel. Recall that the British pound has not been in a flat range in recent weeks like the euro. Nevertheless, its movement was hardly trending either, and the bulls failed to overcome the 1.3525–1.3548 resistance area after four attempts. However, traders are not giving up on efforts to break through, so we believe this area ultimately will not hold. On Monday, neither the UK nor the US saw any important events or reports. Yet, the British pound strengthened again. We take this as a…

Trade Review and Advice on Trading the EuroThe price test at 1.1735 occurred when the MACD indicator was starting to move upward from the zero line, which confirmed the correct entry point for buying the euro. As a result, the pair rose by 20 pips. Today is marked by the release of fresh data on the dynamics of France's industrial sector and a speech by the head of Germany's central bank, Joachim Nagel. The Eurogroup meeting will also be in focus. The French data will move the market only if actual figures differ from expectations. Joachim Nagel's speech also attracts traders' and analysts' attention. The Bundesbank president usually takes a tough stance, but his comments…

Overview: The US dollar is trading quietly today, ahead of the August PPI, though with a weaker bias against most of the G10 currencies. The yen and Canadian dollar are the laggards. Two news developments are among the talking points. First, a federal judge temporarily blocked President Trump's attempt to remove Federal Reserve Governor Cook. Barring a new ruling, she will vote at next week's FOMC meeting. Most likely, so will Miran, as he will likely be confirmed shortly. The Fed funds futures are discounting about a 1-in-8 chance of a 50 bp cut. It was around a 1-in-12 chance after the employment data before the weekend. Second, tensions are elevated after Poland shot d…

Rio Tinto (ASX, LON: RIO) and its partners in Guinea’s Simandou iron ore project have reportedly secured corporate tax concessions worth more than half off the standard rate for key parts of their $23.5 -billion development, regulatory filings show. Guinea’s ruling junta has approved a 15% corporate tax rate for the first 17 years of operations at the railway and port that will transport Simandou ore to global markets, the Australian Financial Review reports. That is well below Guinea’s usual 35% rate and less than half the 30% paid by major firms in Australia. News of the deal come just days after the government signalled Rio Tinto may be required to build a loca…

As adoption for XRPL accelerates, its integration into debt-related infrastructure highlights how blockchain technology is beginning to intersect with the world’s largest financial challenges. The Dow Jones Industrial Average has lagged its peers since the recent Fed Chair Powell’s dovish speech in Jackson Hole on 22 August 2025, which signaled a change of monetary policy stance from a “wait and see” approach to a more proactive one to address the risk of a deterioration in the US labour market. …

The week ahead features five G10 central bank meetings. Two will most likely cut rates, the US and Canada, and two will stand pat, the Bank of England and the Bank of Japan. Norges Bank, Norway's central bank also meets. It is a close call but we lean slightly in favor of it cutting 25 bp, which would bring the deposit rate to 4%. The Federal Reserve is the most interesting. First, the Senate is expected to confirm President Trump's nomination, Stephen Miran as appointment as Fed governor Monday afternoon, less than 24 hours before the beginning of the FOMC meeting. While a 25 bp cut is the most likely scenario, the derivatives markets are discounting almost a 10% chanc…

Surge Battery Metals (TSXV: NILI) will partner with Australia’s Evolution Mining to advance the development of its flagship lithium project in Nevada, viewed as a potential low-cost producer of battery-grade material for the US market. On Tuesday, the Vancouver-based lithium developer announced that the companies have a non-binding agreement to form a joint venture on the Nevada North lithium project (NNLP), with a 77% interest held by Surge and 23% by Evolution. The agreement becomes binding once the companies conduct their respective due diligence and Surge completes an equity financing of at least C$3 million. The JV’s initial focus, it said, will be to complet…

Raoul Pal believes the crypto cycle is not nearing a peak but entering a longer, more powerful expansion that can run well into 2026, driven by a global liquidity uptrend tied to government debt dynamics. In a special Sept. 25 “Everything Code” masterclass with Global Macro Investor (GMI) head of macro research Julien Bittel, the Real Vision co-founder laid out a tightly interlocked framework connecting demographics, debt, liquidity and the business cycle to asset returns—arguing that crypto and tech remain the only asset classes structurally capable of outpacing what he calls the hidden debasement of fiat. Everything Code: Liquidity Is Crypto’s Master Switch “The bigges…

Institutional confidence in Solana (SOL) remains strong, making it one of the stable altcoins in the market. Treasury wallets now hold over 20.9 million SOL, roughly 3.64% of the total supply, indicating that large investors are increasingly viewing SOL alongside Bitcoin and Ethereum as part of diversified crypto portfolios. Companies like Forward Industries and Brera Holdings have disclosed their asset exposure, while ARK has added Solana-related equities and continues to emphasize the network’s expansion. Meanwhile, speculation about a potential Solana staking ETF has gained momentum; if approved, it could reduce circulating supply and provide yield access, potential…

BTC USD is catapulting markets today. Bitcoin now sits around $118,500 after a 3.5% climb over 24 hours, and Nvidia is also in the news today after becoming the first company to hit $4.5 trillion valuation. Bitcoin, at around $2.36 trillion, would need another doubling to eclipse Nvidia. A steep hill to climb, yet the momentum says it’s not impossible. The entire crypto sector is showing strength. The total market cap has crossed $4 trillion, aided by nearly $950 million pouring into Bitcoin ETFs in just two days. The Fear & Greed Index has surged to 64, from neutral territory yesterday, to slight greed. Crypto Fear and Greed Chart …
