Bitcoin’s price gain in the last week has resulted in multiple other positive developments, ranging from a surge in ETF inflows to a bullish change in option trading calls, all signifying a renewed market confidence. In particular, over 99% of Bitcoin’s circulating supply is now held at an unrealized profit, a milestone that underscores the market’s strength. However, historical trends suggest that such conditions often precede a major price correction. Bitcoin May Be Headed For 10% Correction – Analyst In an X post on October 4, market analyst Ted Pillows shares an important cautionary insight on the present Bitcoin market. Brett Reeves, Head of European Sales for BitGo – the company known for its crypto custody and security solutions, said, “This might sound very strange for a salesperson such as myself to say but don’t use one provider. Use multiple.” “Once you reach critical mass, start to diversify. We have a saying in the UK, don’t keep all your eggs in one basket. Separate them out.” He recently took to stage during the Nordic Blockchain Association on 18 June 2025 and said, “I was at Lehman Brothers when Lehman went down. I’ve been in prime brokerage for 20 years before I came into crypto. You have to have multiple people providing services to you.” Gianluca Di Meo, the UK and Nordi…

Nick Philpott, Co-founder of Zodia Markets – a digital asset trading business that has a strong backing from traditional financial giants like the British Bank, Standard Chartered Bank – has a controversial take on the need of regulatory clarity. Speaking during the Nordic Blockchain Association on 17 June 2025 he said that most regulations just synthesize down to don’t lie, don’t cheat, and don’t steal. “Saying that you need to wait for the regulator to say ‘yes, you can do this or that” means you’ll have no innovation at all,” insisted Philpott. Talking about stablecoins specifically he said, “Stablecoins are definitionally cross-border.” However, expressing concern…

According to economist Timothy Peterson, Bitcoin’s recent slide could be a short-lived wobble if October’s history repeats itself. He pointed out that drops larger than 5% in October are rare — they have occurred just four times in the past 10 years — and when they happened, Bitcoin often bounced back quickly. Historical October Bounces Reports show the four October setbacks came in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2021. In the week after each fall, recoveries ranged from modest to sharp: gains of 16% in 2017, 4% in 2018, and a big 21% in 2019, while 2021 was the lone outlier when prices slipped another 3%. Based on those past moves, Peterson suggested a rebound of up to 21% over…

While the dollar finds new reasons to decline each day—and sellers are met daily with a barrier preventing a deeper sell-off—former Treasury Secretary Lawrence Summers criticized the first speech of Stephen Miran as Chair of the Federal Reserve, stating that it failed to provide an adequate analytical basis for a sharp reduction in interest rates. "I cannot recall a weaker analytical speech delivered before the New York Economic Club or by a Fed Chair," Summers said. "If this was the best argument in favor of the radical interest rate cuts supported by President Trump, then it is even weaker than I previously thought." Summers's remarks, carrying significant weight in ec…

Chainlink (LINK) prices have dropped by 5.63% in the past seven days, amid a broader, volatile market movement. Nevertheless, the altcoin maintains a healthy 20.88% on its monthly chart, suggesting that a significant portion of recent market entrants are holding in profits. Looking ahead, prominent analyst Ali Martinez has outlined a potential market opportunity for a mega price rally. LINK Price Pattern Suggests Parabolic Surge After Final Retest In an X post on September 6, Martinez postulates that Chainlink may be on the verge of one of its most significant price moves after tracking a long-term symmetrical triangle pattern on LINK’s weekly chart that suggests a sho…

Log in to today's North American session Market wrap for September 12 The inflation picture is settling down, with consecutive PPI (-0.1% vs 0.3% exp) and an as-expected CPI reinforcing the view that tariff effects are translating into one-off price shocks rather than a lasting trend. Since then, risk assets have surged, led by a two-day equity rally that spilled over into a massive breakout in the crypto market. (Still, watch the ongoing risk-off move happening as the week closes and traders secure profits, this is week-end risk happening) …

When you picture an American jet fighter on a critical mission or the latest electric vehicle (EV) rolling off a factory line, you may not realize that several of the key materials that drive these technologies, including tungsten, come from halfway across the world. Although tungsten is a critical mineral prized for its unmatched density, high melting point, and hardness, the US has gone more than ten years without producing a single ounce domestically, relying instead on foreign suppliers to fuel innovation. This gap creates US national defense implications and leaves high-tech manufacturing industries vulnerable to disruptions in the supply chain at any tim…

A long-silent Bitcoin wallet woke up this week and emptied roughly 400 BTC into several new addresses. According to blockchain trackers, the address sent its coins in multiple transactions, mostly split into batches of 15 BTC. The total value moved is roughly $44 million, based on current prices. Wallet Linked To Early Mining Reports have disclosed that the coins trace back to mining activity from nearly 15 years ago. Lookonchain tied the funds to the early days of Bitcoin, and records show the wallet last moved coins in 2013, when Bitcoin traded near $135 per unit. That price then compared with today’s level — around $111,763 per BTC — means the holding rose by about …

It is natural for traders to fade the trend. Seeking value, one expects that elevated prices after a steep uptrend mean overpriced and low prices after a big correction always mean underpriced. Looking for value is something natural for the Homo Economicus. When we go to the store, we are looking for discounts. But with Markets, discounts don't always translate well with good trades. The steep uptrend in EURUSD from January to the 1st of July brought the pair from 1.01 (close to parity) to 1.18 in a spectacular move. Those who bet on a reversal then initially got proven right, with the pair falling 4,000 pips during the same month. But, those who were expecting a full…

In roughly two weeks, the Bitcoin price has plunged by over 24%, extending losses from October 10. As it stands, digital gold is down a massive 32% from its all-time high. Whether or not the BTC USD price will recover remains to be seen. The good news for optimistic bulls is that the Bitcoin price is stabilizing, even edging higher over the week. Interestingly, though these entities have been selling for months now, other entities, including firms like MicroStrategy, MetaPlanet, and spot Bitcoin ETFs, have been accumulating. Still, it remains to be seen whether this trend will continue. However, with fewer coins in the hands of LTHs, it may signal that the market i…

Forex currencies have been dormant since the beginning of August as Markets haven't found what they want in the latest key data reports. As previously thought, the latest NFP, PPI, and CPI combo reports would have expected to relieve volatility in FX. But volatility there wasn't. After receiving all the most influential market data, the next step will be next Wednesday's FOMC rate decision (September 17). Prior to the CPI release, expectations for a 50 bps cut were priced at 10% and are now closer to 5%. The 25 bps cut, however, is still priced to be a sure thing. Indeed, when looking at Market reactions in other assets, it seems that the theme that is developing is o…

Markets have just received the data for both ADP Private Employment (104K vs 78K estimate) and the Annualized US GDP Data (3% vs 2.4% exp), with both showing strong signs for the largest Economy yet again. Equity Markets have been moving choppy since the weekly gap at the open, and as the US Dollar is making fresh new highs, it is a good time to look at US Treasury Bonds. These are not the most commonly traded asset class by Retail Traders but they still represent a gigantic volume of financial transactions daily, particularly US Treasuries. Bonds have been struggling to find strong demand despite the June war-fears and the few bouts of flight-to-safety that markets ha…

Markets seem to be shrugging off of the latest dramatic deadline pushback from the Trump Administration – after menacing Japan, South Korea and other Asian countries for 25% tariffs in a letter sent yesterday that sent markets shaking, the renewed TACO trade is in getting priced in. The July 9th deadline recently got pushed back again to August 1st, allowing trade negotiations to continue. Markets got scared yesterday and the Dow particularly suffered from the headlines, closing down 0.94% from its open. Participants learn from their mistakes, and knowing with who they are treating, they are starting to put less emphasis on all the headlines. US President Donald Trump …

Iran's nuclear program is once again raising concerns among Western countries. Several months ago, Donald Trump ordered an airstrike on Iran's underground nuclear facilities. The following day, the U.S. president announced the complete destruction of the three largest uranium enrichment sites, declaring Iran a non-nuclear state. However, only a few days later, experts from relevant fields began to question Trump's statements. In short, experts believe that it was impossible to achieve full destruction of underground facilities, and in practice, such an operation is nearly unattainable. The strikes were targeted, while the facilities themselves cover a large underground ar…

The world of crypto investing is changing. Companies are shifting from solely token-based assets to more sophisticated, equity-backed exposures. In a bold move, GSR – a well-known crypto market maker – filed for a new exchange-traded fund (ETF) to invest in companies whose corporate treasuries hold digital assets. If approved, this ‘digital asset treasury company’ ETF could provide a new way for investors to gain exposure to crypto without directly owning tokens. GSR Proposes a New Twist GSR’s ETF filing shows that the fund plans to invest at least 80% of its assets in equity securities of publicly traded companies that hold significant digital assets. That’s a rever…
