The World Gold Council (WGC), in partnership with law firm Linklaters and Hilltop Walk Consulting, has released a white paper proposing a new framework for how gold is owned, traded, and used in financial markets. At the core of the proposal are Pooled Gold Interests (PGIs), which would allow investors to hold fractional, digital claims on physical gold stored in approved vaults. The system is designed to merge the security of allocated gold with the ease of trading associated with unallocated accounts, while reducing credit risk. PGIs would also be electronically transferable, opening the door for gold to be more widely used as collateral or margin. In today…

Over the last few weeks, both Bitcoin and Ethereum have seen an interesting wave of price action with high volatility. Naturally, this volatility has spurred a wave of trading as crypto traders see this as a time of opportunity due to the fluctuations. The result of this has been a rapid rise in the open interest of both Bitcoin and Ethereum during this time. While this, on its own, is significant, looking at the previous performances, it could suggest where the Bitcoin and Ethereum prices are headed next. Bitcoin And Ethereum Open Interest Remain Very High Toward the end of the month of August, the Ethereum price began rising rapidly, fueled by large buys from Ethereum …

Gold’s new record-setting move came as a pivotal US payrolls report on Friday showed a slowdown in hiring last month, while unemployment…

AI agents are simple to describe and complex to serve: observe → decide → act → learn. Each loop depends on fresh, reliable, permissionless data. In Web2, you can rent this from a few platforms. In Web3, data lives across dozens of heterogeneous chains, node stacks, indexers, and off-chain oracles – each with its own quirks of latency, finality, semantics, and failure modes. The result: agents are hungry; the pantry is chaotic. Let’s understand the problem, public signals, and outline what an AI-ready data layer must look like to unlock the agentic economy for DeFi and beyond. AI is rapidly penetrating Web3, but the bottleneck remains data. Prominent builders are increa…

On the hourly chart, the GBP/USD pair on Friday continued its upward movement after rebounding from the support zone of 1.3416–1.3425 and consolidated above the 76.4% retracement level at 1.3482. The rebound from this level overnight suggests further pound growth toward the next Fibonacci level of 100.0% at 1.3587. A move below 1.3482 would favor the U.S. dollar and some decline toward the 1.3416–1.3425 level. The wave structure remains "bearish." The last completed downward wave broke through two previous lows at once, while the latest upward wave has not yet managed to surpass the previous peak. The news background has played a significant role in shaping the waves w…

Polkadot crypto might be out of the top 30, slipping below Toncoin (TON crypto) and Cronos (CRO) in the market cap ranking. However, this does not mean DOT USD is not being watched. DOT USD is firm at spot rates, and the candlestick arrangement suggests that the Polkadot price is primed for major gains that could propel it to new H2 2025 highs in the coming sessions. Coingecko data shows that Polkadot crypto has been stable in the past day and week, adding roughly +5%. At this pace, DOT USD is shaking off the weakness seen from mid-August 2025, finding a solid footing for possible gains. Still, DOT crypto has not completely reversed losses of the past year, and is down…

All eyes are laying on one asset class in Markets: Precious Metals The usual suspect: Gold, A.K.A. The Bullion (or just "bully" for people who are caught short). Gold has always been a very complex asset. It does not have a face value yet it serves as store of value for many Central Banks. It cannot be eaten yet people always starve for it. And these days, it not-only is at the center of the 2025 Trump-Administration deglobalization theme but also a good edge against every potential catalyst against positive sentiment this year: Rate cuts? Wars? Fiscal catastrophes? Political instability (France, Japan, US, UK, ...) Bonds haven't seen much demand since the end of the …

Ripple has once again caught headlines after quietly transferring 15 million XRP tokens just hours after securing a legal win against the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The transaction, recorded on Ledger #98,741,614, carried a negligible fee of 0.000015 XRP, showcasing the network’s efficiency. While Ripple has not provided an official statement, analysts suggest the move could be tied to liquidity preparation for exchanges, settlement mechanisms, or the expansion of Ripple’s On-Demand Liquidity (ODL) corridors. The timing, so close to its courtroom victory, has fueled speculation that Ripple is positioning itself for a new phase of institutional adop…

Dogecoin is approaching a familiar inflection on the monthly chart that previously preceded its most explosive advances, according to a new high-timeframe analysis from Kevin (Kev Capital TA) published on September 11. The analyst argues that a fresh stochastic RSI (stoch RSI) cross to the upside on the monthly timeframe—now forming but not yet above the 20 threshold—echoes the technical regime that fueled Dogecoin’s prior cycle blow-offs. Dogecoin Explosion Imminent? “Back in February 2017, Dogecoin got a V-shaped stock RSI cross above the 20 level and it went on another rally… 1,852%,” he said, adding that a subsequent monthly cross “produced a very nice 1,751% gain” b…

The U.S. dollar continues to face problems, and the key question remains: how much more will it lose before the Federal Reserve meeting, and how much after. The main issue for investors this week is whether Fed officials will push back against market expectations of a series of rate cuts, which many economists believe could last into next year. Clearly, the Fed's decision on Wednesday will set the tone for global markets, including currencies, but it is not the only important event on the calendar. The Bank of Canada, the Bank of England, and the Bank of Japan are also set to announce their monetary policy decisions. The spotlight will undoubtedly be on Fed Chair Jerome …

Coinbase’s Base network might soon have a native token. Jesse Pollak, the founder of Base, brought it up at the recent BaseCamp event. He said they’re exploring the idea, but nothing has been finalized yet. There’s no official timeline or design, just open discussion. That’s a noticeable change from earlier, when Coinbase had said there were no plans for a token. Why the Token Is Being Considered The main reason for thinking about a token is to help Base grow. Pollak explained that the goal is to give the community more power over how the network develops. A token could be used to encourage more developers and users to get involved. It would also fit into Base’s wider vi…

Macroeconomic Report Analysis: There are plenty of macroeconomic releases scheduled for Tuesday. None of these is extremely important, but each carries some weight and may impact the market. The U.K. unemployment rate is on the rise. The higher it goes, the more the Bank of England will need to cut rates. But inflation, which is also rising, prevents it from doing so. Inflation remains the more critical metric. Jobless claims and wage data are less important. In the Eurozone today, industrial production will be published; in Germany, the ZEW economic expectations index; in the U.S., industrial production and retail sales. All of these may provoke reactions if actual f…

The wave structure on the 4-hour chart for EUR/USD has not changed for several months, which is encouraging. Even during the formation of corrective waves, the integrity of the structure remains intact, allowing accurate forecasts. Wave patterns do not always look like textbook examples, but the current structure does. The upward trend segment continues to build, and the news backdrop largely supports not the dollar. The trade war initiated by Donald Trump continues. The confrontation with the Fed continues. The market's dovish expectations regarding Fed rates are growing. Market assessments of Trump's first 6–7 months in office are very low, despite 3% GDP growth in Q2. …

Log in to today's North American session Market wrap for September 16 Trump shook markets today after signing Miran’s papers for him to join the Federal Reserve committee, just hours before the start of the central bank’s 2-day meeting. The Fed's independence is in question here with the move from Donald Trump to appoint his Economic Adviser at the FED just as the meeting commences. The move sent the US Dollar tumbling close to its 2025 lows (96.55 today vs. 96.37 on July 1st), igniting a new wave of selling. Dollar bears came back in force, with the Swiss franc standing out as the preferred hedge against the greenback’s weakness ahead of tomorrow’s session. This bre…

On Tuesday, the GBP/USD currency pair continued its upward movement. In the morning, the UK reports on unemployment and wages were published, but these only allowed traders to draw conclusions that had no impact on their trading decisions. For instance, the unemployment rate remained at 4.7%—what are we to conclude from that? Or the pace of wage growth slowed slightly (but stayed within forecasts)—what does that mean? Will the Bank of England take these figures and their results seriously? In our view, the UK data package was utterly pointless. On Monday, there were no significant releases or events in either the US or the UK, yet the pound kept rising at the same rate al…

On Thursday, the euro began the North American session with a 0.2% gain against the U.S. dollar, recovering part of the positions lost earlier during European trading. The EUR/USD pair is paying little attention to the persistent political instability in France. The political situation in France remains a significant source of uncertainty, with French 10-year government bond yields now exceeding Italian equivalents. The new prime minister is struggling to secure support from the Socialist Party, while hardline remarks by National Rally leader Marine Le Pen on Wednesday fueled speculation about the potential dissolution of parliament or even the resignation of President Ma…

Ethereum’s next major upgrade, called Fusaka, is scheduled for December 3, 2025, and it could play a central role in lowering scaling costs and supporting ETH’s bullish momentum. Developers confirmed the timeline after successful testnet deployments on Holesky, Sepolia, and Hoodi earlier this fall. What’s Inside the Ethereum Fusaka Upgrade? The upgrade brings about PeerDAS (EIP-7594), which enables the nodes to verify only portions of blob data rather than downloading the entire content. The network is more efficient with this change, and the ground is laid out to do full danksharding in the future. Together with PeerDAS, developers will release two Blob Parameter Only …

The US dollar fell through the first part of last week and lows for the year against sterling G10 currencies were set in the initial reaction to the rate cut by the FOMC. However, Chair Powell press conference and a look at the Summary of Economic Projections were not as dovish the rate cut and concerns about the deterioration of the labor market seemed to suggest. US yields rose and the dollar recovered, with new highs for the week seen ahead of the weekend. There appears to be scope for additional near-term modest US dollar gains. They should be understood as corrective in nature. Given that the thunder from PCE deflator has already been stolen by the CPI and PPI, and …

Fireweed Metals’ (TSXV: FWZ) shares jumped to an all-time high this week on drill results at its Macpass project in Yukon that extended a zone of high-grade zinc mineralization in massive sulphides in a 115-metre step-out hole. The Japanese yen is stepping into the FX spotlight, battling the Australian dollar for top weekly performer — with the AUD lifted by the RBA’s hawkish pause and firm domestic data. A rare sight in 2025, the yen is beginning to dominate broader currency performance, as fundamentals start to assemble in its favor. Political momentum is shifting, with LDP contenders Takaichi and Koizumi pulling ahead in Friday’s LDP party leadership race and hinting at a possible renegotiation of Japan’s trade deal with the US. Both stances, seen as less supportive of Abenomics and Ishibanomics’ era of ultra-low rates, fuel growing speculation that BoJ hikes may be closer than expected. Ec…
