Upset you didn’t buy that dip last week? With Uncle Trump in charge, making money in crypto isn’t even hard anymore, and now we’re finally seeing the Trump 401K crypto play come into focus. President Donald Trump has moved to expand what Americans can hold in their retirement accounts, signing an order that could bring crypto, private equity, and real estate into 401(k) plans for the first time at scale. About 90 million savers could be affected. “This executive order supports our efforts to improve flexibility and eliminate unfair one-size-fits-all approaches,” Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer said. Even if the allocation to crypto is a measly 0.5% of the average n…

Crypto pundit Versan Aljarrah, the founder of Black Swan Capitalist, published a lengthy post on X on Aug. 7 alleging that the XRP price is being deliberately constrained by a multi-pronged architecture spanning exchanges, regulation, and liquidity infrastructure. Framing the situation as “The Biggest Financial Cover-Up,” Aljarrah writes that “the current price of XRP doesn’t reflect its utility, its adoption, or its strategic position,” and claims the “suppression mechanisms in place are layered, coordinated, and strategically embedded within the very exchanges, regulations, and infrastructure that claim to support a free market.” Is The XRP Price Manipulated? Anchoring…

Greatland Resources (ASX: GGP) is facing questions from the Australian Securities Exchange over why it slashed production and cost targets just weeks after its debut on the bourse. The Western Australian gold and copper miner, backed by Andrew Forrest’s Wyloo Metals, cut its 2026 financial year gold production forecast to between 260,000 and 310,000 ounces, down from the 300,000 to 340,000 ounces outlined in its prospectus. It also lifted its growth capital estimate for the same period at the Telfer gold and copper mine to as much as A$260 million — more than triple the A$80 million figure disclosed before listing. The revisions, announced July 29, came barel…

Bitcoin is trading with renewed volatility after successfully pushing back into the previous price range above the $115,000 level. This move signals resilience from the bulls, who are showing strength following several days of panic selling and heightened fears of a deeper correction. Market sentiment, while still cautious, is improving as BTC buyers reclaim ground. According to CryptoQuant data, the % BTC price change since the last difficulty bottom indicator currently sits at +7.4%, placing it in the green zone. Barrick Mining (NYSE:B)(TSX:ABX) is selling its Alturas gold project in Chile to a Singapore-based unit of Boroo for $50 million in cash, plus a 0.5% net smelter return royalty on gold and silver production. The royalty will end once 2 million ounces of gold and gold-equivalent are produced. Boroo can buy it back within four years for $10 million, Barrick said. “This is another good example of an instance where an asset we own might be better suited in the hands of others while we pursue our priority portfolio of Barrick-managed growth projects,” President and chief executive Mark Bristow said. Alturas sits in Chile’s gold-rich El Indio district, 30 kilometres…

The Japanese yen is lower on Friday. USD/JPY is trading at 147.66 in the North American session, up 0.38% on the day. BoJ minutes show support for rate hikesThe Bank of Japan minutes from the July 31 meeting signaled that the BoJ remains committed to further rate hikes. This reiterates comments from BOJ President Ueda that he will raise rates, provided that growth and inflation are in line with the BoJs forecasts. At the same time, members expressed concern about the uncetainty due to tariffs. Members acknowledged that the recent trade agreement between the US and Japan had reduced uncertainty and had made it more likely that inflation would be sustainable at the 2% targe…

USDCAD rises from a disappointing Canadian Employment number. The data which came at -40.8K vs 13.5K expected , takes out half of the past month's upwards surprise (+83K) and looking at the detail, full-time employment saw the most regression (-51K) while part-time employment rose by a small margin. Overall, the unemployment rate came as expected (6.9% vs 6.9% exp) but overall, Canada has been struggling with job creation for a while now. Canadian Employment data tends to be pretty volatile, especially during summer. In the meantime, the Loonie had appreciated a bit against the US Dollar in the past few days. Fifteen years ago today, Satoshi Nakamoto typed out a short, almost casual statement on a Bitcoin forum that would end up sounding prophetic: “The utility of the exchange made possible by Bitcoin will far exceed the cost of electricity used. Therefore, not having Bitcoin would be net waste.” It traded for a mere $0.07 at the time — Aug. 7, 2010 — and largely among a small group of early adopters. It could be mined on a desktop computer. Today, Bitcoin exchanges near $117,000, after reaching a high this year of $123,000. The token is no longer an esoteric experiment by an unknown programmer but the linchpin of a $2.3 trillion crypto space that has captivated retail inv…

The Chainlink price just confirmed that this token is actually needed. Or at least, that’s what the LINK ▲11.07% Marine army is chanting about. Chainlink has rolled out a strategic LINK reserve funded by both on-chain service fees and off-chain enterprise payments marking a structural shift in how the network sustains itself. The reserve has already accumulated over $1 million in LINK during its early phase, with no plans for withdrawals for “multiple years.” Locking those tokens up is a good substitute for staking which is seem they’re slowly going up on. Here’s what else you need to know: “The launch of the Chainlink Reserve marks a pivotal evolution in Chainlink, es…

Ukraine’s central bank said that digital assets can be legalized and regulated, but they can’t be used as legal tender. While National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) is opening the door to a compliant virtual asset market, it is opposed to recognizing any cryptocurrency as legal tender. NBU Chairman Andriy Pyshny said on 7 August 2025, “When forming the legislative framework for the implementation of virtual assets, in view of European integration, we must move in a clear direction, which is determined by the European MICA directive and the relevant EU Regulations.” “At the same time, this directive entered into force only in January 2025 and it provides a fairly wide scope for…

SPX6900 has ripped 23% higher in the past month, outpacing not just the S&P 500, but also a long list of blue-chip altcoins. For a meme index born from internet culture and irreverent finance, that kind of run reinforces one thing: the 6900 effect is alive and kicking. While traditional markets obsess over earnings calls and GDP prints, meme-led plays are delivering gains that put “serious” assets to shame. Riding this wave is TOKEN6900 ($T6900) – the self-described ‘anti-S&P,’ built on zero utility, zero roadmap, and zero corporate spin. It promises nothing and delivers exactly that. In the upside-down logic of meme finance, that might be the most honest propos…

Poland's economy today stands out as a dynamic example of steady convergence and resilient growth, driven by robust domestic consumption, strategic investment, and a swift shift toward sustainability. Cryptocurrencies have found a decent rally amid yesterday's strong session, propulsed by the Ether breaking 4,000 for the first time in 2025 and some positive news. Effectively, US President Trump just passed an executive order allowing Cryptocurrency investments to be counted into American 401Ks (retirement accounts) which boosted sentiment around the longer-run cryptocurrency investment mindset. There has been a few hypothesis, which don't sound too unrealistic, of BlackRock preparing for a XRP ETF in the follow-up from creations of ETFs for Ethereum, and the most recent addition, Solana. However, today's session seems to be a bit more mixed as Bitcoin steps into so…
