Fed Faces Dilemma Ahead of October 29 FOMC Meeting Data Accuracy With the next Federal Reserve (FOMC) decision scheduled for October 29, policymakers are facing an unusual challenge: the government shutdown has delayed critical economic data, leaving the Fed “flying blind” just weeks before its next interest rate call. At the September meeting, the Fed cut rates by 25 basis points, and market pricing suggests traders expect another cut in October. But with a slowing labor market and persistent inflation pressures, the decision won’t be straightforward. What Is the Fed’s Dual Mandate? The Federal Reserve’s dual mandate, set by Congress, consists of two key goals: M…

Trade analysis and advice for trading the euro The price test of 1.1696 coincided with the MACD indicator just beginning to move down from the zero line. This confirmed the correct entry point for selling the euro and resulted in a 30-point drop in the pair. The political crisis in France continues: today, French Defense Minister Le Maire also resigned. This came just a day after the resignation of the Prime Minister, who had served for only 27 days. Political turbulence has reached its peak, plunging the country into deep uncertainty and calling into question the stability of the ruling coalition. The resignation of key government figures one after another indicates a se…

Log in to today's North American session Market wrap for October 7th Today commemorates the second anniversary of the tragic massacre when Hamas soldiers invaded Israel, killing, raping, and kidnapping more than a thousand civilians. Tomorrow will see the biggest meeting of Arab leaders regarding implementing the Trump 20-point Plan, which would impose a ceasefire and achieve a process towards peace in the region for the time to come. The meeting will be held in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, and will include the highest diplomatic delegates from Qatar, Turkey, and Egypt. US Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff will also participate in the meeting and recently landed in Egypt. Tu…

The GBP/USD currency pair continued to trade lower on Tuesday, and we continue to view this movement as entirely illogical. In the EUR/USD article, we suggested that the euro pair is in a flat range on the daily timeframe. With GBP/USD, there's really no need to guess — the flat is plain to see. Given the traditionally high correlation between the euro and pound, there's every reason to assume that both currencies are trading sideways. If true, then the current decline in the pound is purely technical and has nothing to do with macroeconomic or fundamental factors. Even on the 4-hour chart, it's clear that the price has been bouncing around in every direction over the pas…

Trade Analysis and Recommendations on the British Pound The price test of 1.3401 occurred when the MACD indicator had already moved significantly above the zero mark, which limited the pair's upward potential. For this reason, I did not buy the pound. The release of the Bank of England meeting minutes supported the pound. The language of the press release was extremely cautious: no hints of a reassessment of the current monetary policy and not a single mention of upcoming interest rate cuts. Such a neutral tone, combined with detailed statistics on inflation expectations, created a sense of stability, which was immediately reflected in the currency markets. Ahead, a fairl…

Gold is trading around 4,020, below the 21 SMA and below the uptrend channel formed since early October. The H1 chart shows that gold is undergoing a technical correction, and we could expect it to reach +1/8 Murray around $3,906. If the price consolidates above 4,035, we could expect it to reach +2/8 Murray around 4,062. The H1 chart shows strong overbought conditions. So, if the price closes the gap left at the close of Wednesday's session, we could expect it to reach the 4,040 level and even 4,062. Our outlook will be bearish as long as the gold price consolidates below 4,062. Therefore, any technical rebound, as long as the price remains below this area, will be seen …

Log in to today's North American session Market wrap for October 9th Now up above 2% on the week, many Markets and assets can't ignore the ongoing rally in the US Dollar. Between resilient consumers – with, for example, Airlines like Delta giving out strong future expectations – and the Trump Administration-engineered Middle East deal agreed by both parties now, the US is getting back on its feet. Indeed, some questions are arising in concern of the strength of the US Economy. Despite some job losses and tariffs, how is it that company earnings and retail sales are still growing so much ? Some very interesting pieces convey that US Equities at record highs and filthy …

Review of Trades and Trading Tips for the European CurrencyA price test at 1.1615 occurred when the MACD indicator had just begun moving downward from the zero line, confirming a correct entry point for selling the euro. As a result, the pair declined toward the target level of 1.1574. Yesterday's comments from U.S. Federal Reserve officials regarding the inadvisability of further monetary easing triggered a strengthening of the U.S. currency and a weakening of the European one. Today, the absence of economic data from the eurozone suggests the possibility of a short-term correction in the euro, but it is unlikely that buyers will be able to recover all of yesterday's los…

Why is Crypto Down Today? The crypto market just faced its sharpest liquidation wave of October, catching overleveraged bulls off guard. Peace in the Middle East, anon. All safe haven assets are going to crash 80 percent, and leveraged speculative investments are going to 100x. Or are they? So far more than $630 million in positions were wiped out on October 9, according to data from Coinglass, with over 81% of those being long bets. .cwp-coin-chart svg path { stroke-width: 0.65 !important; } Bitcoin BTC $121,607.12 0.23% …

On Thursday evening, the new leader of Japan's ruling party, Sanae Takaichi, attempted to reassure markets that she is not aiming for a weaker yen and that the Bank of Japan's policy would remain balanced. However, investors heard something else entirely. Following her remarks, the yen briefly strengthened but then resumed its downward trajectory, hitting new lows. Why did the words of the next prime minister fall flat? Where are the Ministry of Finance's limits of patience, and what does this mean for traders? Let us break it down. When words fall short: markets did not buy Takaichi's message On Thursday night, Sanae Takaichi made her first televised appearance since w…

Nearly 60% of surveyed institutional investors say they plan to raise their crypto allocation in the next year. Average exposure is expected to double within three years, signaling firm plans rather than idle talk. Institutions Are Boosting Digital Asset Allocations Reports have disclosed that private markets are the first target. Private equity and private fixed income topped the list for tokenization, as firms look to open up illiquid holdings and make them easier to trade. By 2030, a majority of respondents expect betwee…

Gold is trading around 3,985, rebounding after a strong technical correction of more than $100 in less than 24 hours from 4,050 to 3,947. After the initial strong technical correction that occurred yesterday during the American session, gold is rebounding and is now consolidating below the psychological level of $4,000. During the European session, gold attempted to consolidate above $4,000 but failed. We are now seeing a technical correction, so the bearish cycle is likely to resume. We could expect the instrument to reach +1/8 Murray around $3,906 in the coming days. The Eagle indicator is showing a positive signal for the coming hours. Therefore, if the price consolida…

Nuclear startup Hadron Energy has announced it will go public on the Nasdaq via a $1.2 billion business combination with GigCapital7 Corp, a Private-to-Public Equity firm. The deal will provide approximately $200 million in net proceeds, which will be used to accelerate product development and commercial deployment of Hadron’s technology, it said. The deal is expected to close in Q1 2026. The Redwood City, California-based company said it has designed a micro modular reactor (MMR) built on light water reactor technology with an operationally efficient 10-year fueling cycle. Dogecoin has plunged violently over the past 24 hours, shedding a large chunk of its value in a brutal correction across the entire crypto market. What looked like a hold above $0.25 turned into a fast breakdown that dragged the Dogecoin price to as low as $0.148 within 24 hours. However, technical analysis from crypto analyst Kaleo shows Dogecoin is ready to hit new all-time highs. In a post on X, he doubled down on a remarkably bullish prediction, stating that $6.90 is a “magnet” for Dogecoin. Dogecoin Chart Tells The Story In his post on the social media platform X, Kaleo noted how members of the crypto community are increasingly waking up to see how primed Dogecoin…

Early in the European session, gold is trading around 4,182, below the uptrend channel formed on September 15 and with a positive bias after a strong rebound above 4,100. In the coming hours, gold could continue its rise and reach the top of the uptrend channel around 4,205 and could even reach the 7/8 Murray around 4,218. If gold falls below the 7/8 Murray and fails to consolidate above this area, we can expect a pullback to reach the 21SMA around 4,080. The instrument could even get the 6/8 Murray at 4,062. Technically, the Eagle indicator has reached the overbought zone, so a strong technical correction is likely in the coming days, and gold could reach the psychologic…

Log in to our mid-week North American Markets overview, where we examine the current themes in North America and provide an overview of indices and currency performances. A strong US dollar and resilient North American equity markets — both on impressive runs since early October — finally met their first major challenge towards the end of last week: the return of US-China trade tensions. The spark came from a Trump Truth Social post last Friday that reignited fears of a new trade war, triggering a sharp risk-off move across markets. China has tightened restrictions on rare earth exports, a move that rattled Washington and recreated what seemed to be a new challeng…

To reach a goal, one must sometimes make sacrifices. France's new Prime Minister, Sebastien Lecornu, concluded that short-term political stability is more important than pushing forward with pension reform. He agreed to postpone raising the retirement age from 62 to 64, effectively protecting himself from a no-confidence vote. As a result, the Socialist Party no longer intends to vote for his removal. The yield spread between French and German bonds plunged, and EUR/USD launched a counterattack. French-German Bond Yield Spread Dynamics Pension reform has long been a cornerstone of Emmanuel Macron's policy agenda. However, the president recognizes that another prime …

XRP may be quietly setting the stage for another major breakout. Recent chart patterns and market behavior show striking similarities to its 2017 accumulation phase, a period that preceded a massive parabolic rally. As Q4 unfolds, technical indicators and Bitcoin dominance data hint that the long-awaited bullish setup could still be in play. Q4 Move Still Possible: XRP’s Bullish Potential Isn’t Gone Yet Crypto analyst CoinsKid recently shared an update confirming that the highly anticipated Q4 move for XRP is still a potential option. This optimistic outlook is heavily underpinned by the current data observed on the Bitcoin Dominance (BTC.D) chart, which the analyst view…

Automated Trading – What Is Algorithmic Trading? Automated Trading Algorithmic trading, often referred to as “algo trading,” uses computer programs to automatically execute trades based on pre-set rules or mathematical models. These systems can be as simple as a moving average crossover strategy or as complex as AI-powered predictive algorithms reacting to real-time market data. At its core, algo trading removes emotion from the equation by relying on logic, data, and execution speed to make consistent, objective trading decisions. Automated Trading The Core Idea: If–Then Logic Every trading algorithm follows a fundamental structure: If condition X is met, then e…

Cardano price used to have better days in the past, while it currently struggles to stay above $1. Nevertheless, its 2018 and 2021 runs were both impressive, granting investors 50-100x returns. Is there a chance for a third run? Always. How big though – that is a key question. Follow along and find out what technical analysis says. Is $5-8 realistic? With fully diluted valuation (FDV) of $30 billion, total supply of 45 billion tokens and current tokens in circulation of 36 billion, such an increase would mean FDV of $300 bullion. As a top L1 coin, attracting $270 billion, especially if the ETF gets approved, it seems realistic. What do the ADA charts show? DISCOVER:…

The GBP/USD currency pair showed no meaningful movements on Monday. In this article, we focus on upcoming events that could (theoretically) influence the pair's direction. "Theoretically," because for the past three weeks, the market has been actively ignoring many factors that typically work against the U.S. dollar. Simply put, if the dollar had been falling these last three weeks, we would consider it entirely justified. However, the British pound, like the euro, remains stuck in a flat range on the daily timeframe. From its current levels, GBP/USD could still fall another 250 pips and stay within the bounds of this flat market. And once the flat range is over, a new tr…

Trade Review for Tuesday: 1-Hour Chart of EUR/USD On Tuesday, the EUR/USD pair continued drifting lower slowly and with low volatility. The euro has now declined for three straight days, despite having no fundamental or technical justification. We continue to view nearly any current growth in the U.S. dollar as illogical. Traders should keep in mind the clearly visible range-bound structure on the daily timeframe, which may be the main reason behind the unusual and erratic price movements. On both Monday and Tuesday, there were no noteworthy economic reports or events in either the Eurozone or the United States. As a result, traders had little to react to. The upwar…
