The recent price action for XRP has shown little sign of strength as the crypto is now battling sustained bearish pressure. Since the start of the correction phase on May 12, XRP has posted consecutive lower highs on the daily timeframe, slipping further from its May peak of $2.65. This ongoing decline comes after a rally that started last month, which saw the XRP price rebound from $1.80 in early April. However, the momentum that drove that surge has now been overtaken by a clear wave of red candles, and technical analysis suggests that the XRP price can crash below $2 again in the coming days to the April low. MasterAnanda Flags Risk Of Further XRP Downside A recent …

Solana (SOL) has remained under the radar in recent weeks, with market attention primarily centered on Bitcoin and Ethereum. While the broader crypto market digests recent volatility, SOL has been quietly consolidating just below key resistance. This silence, however, might not last much longer. Top analysts are starting to turn their focus back to Solana, suggesting that a powerful move could be brewing. According to analyst Bluntz, the recent price action in SOL is showing promising signs. He notes that after sweeping the lows, Solana is now working on a reclaim of support — a classic bottoming pattern that often precedes a strong rebound. Although it’s still early da…

Ethereum is trading just below the $2,500 mark, struggling to reclaim higher ground as bearish momentum picks up across the broader crypto market. After repeated failed attempts to break past resistance, ETH now sits under heavy selling pressure, raising concerns about a deeper correction. Bulls appear to be losing control as overall market sentiment weakens amid global economic uncertainty and the persistent weight of rising US Treasury yields. Some market participants are now bracing for a significant downturn if Ethereum fails to hold above key demand zones. However, not everyone is turning bearish. Some prominent analysts maintain a highly bullish long-term view, ar…

Hudbay Minerals (TSX, NYSE: HBM) said on Wednesday it has temporarily suspended operations in Manitoba due to surging wildfires throughout parts of the province. The suspension follows a precautionary early evacuation notice issued for the town of Snow Lake, where the Canadian miner operates an underground polymetallic mine with over 1,100 employees. According to Hudbay, the early evacuation positions the company well for a safe return to full operations once conditions permit. Only essential personnel, authorized by emergency services, will remain in Snow Lake to assist with emergency activities, it added. In addition to assisting the firefighting efforts, th…

In a financial disclosure filed June 13 with the US Office of Government Ethics, US President Donald Trump reported earning $57.4 million from World Liberty Financial—a crypto venture he launched alongside his sons, Donald Jr. and Eric. The form also reveals he holds 15.75 billion governance tokens in the project, giving him direct voting power over its direction. Trump’s Token Windfall According to the disclosure, Trump’s income line reads “$57,437,927.” It doesn’t say if he sold tokens, earned staking rewards, or used another method. But the number is huge. It hints that he either cashed out part of his stake or that an internal valuation put the tokens’ worth very hi…

The recent escalation in tensions between Israel and Iran has added a new wave of anxiety in the global markets, causing investors to adopt a more cautious stance towards investing. At the same time, Bitcoin’s technical chart is sending mixed signals that could lead to a breakout in either direction. After a failed attempt to reclaim $110,000 earlier this week, the price has now slipped below the 21-day moving average, but still above support at the 50-day moving average. This confluence of moving averages, coupled with a clearly defined trendline resistance, has brought Bitcoin into a tightening price structure of a descending triangle pattern. Descending Triangle Wi…

A federal judge has rejected Ripple and the SEC’s proposed $50 million settlement, but social media sentiment around XRP has turned bullish anyway. Ripple-SEC Settlement Stalled After Court Rejection The Ripple-SEC case seemed to be moving forward after both parties agreed on a reduced $50 million settlement, but the joint motion for an indicative ruling has now been rejected in court. According to the filing shared by defense lawyer James K. Filian in an X post, the two haven’t “come close” to showing exceptional circumstances outweighing public interest or the administration of justice that would justify modifying the judgment. This means that the original fine of $12…

Bitcoin has jumped more than 170% from its launch‑month price around $45,000 to about $123,000 earlier this month. Based on reports from Citi, the bank has laid out three scenarios for where the price might land by year‑end 2025. These range from a low of $64,000 in a weak market to a bull case of $199,000 if everything goes right. ETF Flows Take Center Stage In Bitcoin Uptrend According to Citi analysts, spot Bitcoin ETFs now explain over 40% of the recent price swings. Since their debut, US ETFs have snapped up about $54.66 billion worth of Bitcoin. That buying power helped drive BTC from roughly $45,000 to $123,000 in just a few months. The bank’s base case assumes…

The lazy hot days of summer are upon us. Gold has settled into a sideways holding pattern, after climbing over 25% in the first half of the year. With hamburgers sizzling on the backyard barbeque grill, making portfolio moves might not be on the top of your to-do list. Consider this: taking action today to add physical gold to your portfolio gives you the opportunity to trade fewer dollars for more gold before the next up leg begins. Fidelity joined Goldman Sachs with a forecast for gold to reach $4,000 an ounce. Fidelity pointed to expected Federal Reserve interest rate cuts, a weakening U.S. dollar and more central bank gold buying as factors driving gold to new record…

Hong Kong’s stablecoin licensing framework officially went live on August 1. This is the first time the city has introduced a legal structure specifically for fiat-pegged digital tokens. The move puts the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) in charge of approving which firms can issue stablecoins and how they operate. The new law applies immediately. What Stablecoin Issuers Are Now Required to Do Under the new rules, any company offering stablecoins backed by the Hong Kong or US dollar must get a license from the HKMA. It does not matter if the firm is based in Hong Kong or operating from overseas. The requirements are strict: issuers must keep full reserves at all times…

Since the medium-term swing low on 7 April 2025, triggered by the US Liberation Day tariff announcement, the Dow Jones Industrial Average has underperformed compared to the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100. So far, the US Wall Street 30 CFD Index (a proxy of the Dow Jones Industrial Average futures) has not yet broken above its current all-time high of 45,100 printed in December 2024 after a retest of it last Monday, 28 July, versus fresh all-time highs seen on the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100. The global cryptocurrency market has experienced a slight downturn over the past week, with Bitcoin (BTC) struggling to regain its recent highs. Market data from CoinGecko shows the total crypto market capitalization currently stands at approximately $3.79 trillion, representing a 0.4% decline in the last 24 hours. This pullback follows a period of uncertainty across major digital assets, with both Bitcoin and altcoins facing limited buying momentum despite periods of volatility. Analysts suggest that reduced market activity and fluctuations in leveraged trading positions are playing a significant role in current market behavior. Insights from Binance, one of the larges…

This morning saw some particular reactions to the as-expected CPI report. Initial reactions were going towards most assets benefitting from rate cuts rallying, like US Equities, bonds and gold heading higher. Since, longer-term bonds are getting sold off due to the pricing of an immediate September rate cut which would put up long-term inflation expectations. 10 (4.315%) to 30 Year yields (4.90%) are at their highs of the session. Nasdaq and S&P are getting hurt from this, particularly following the Nvidia and AMD announcement to share 15% of their profits from China to the US Government. The Dow Jones on the other hand seems to like the inflation report and is se…

Overview: The US dollar is under pressure. The losses seen yesterday have been extended against nearly all the G10 currencies. It is also lower against all the emerging market currencies but the Turkish lira and Russian ruble. There were some murmurings the Fed cutting 50 bp next month, and Treasury Secretary Bessent suggested it may be appropriate. The Fed funds futures have almost 25 bp cut discounted but looking at some pricing in the options market, some observers are concluding the market is pricing in a small chance of such a move. US rates are softer today. The two-year Treasury yield and the 10-year yield are off 2-4 bp, though at 3.70%. The former is not below ye…

Capriole founder Charles Edwards argues that Bitcoin’s famous four-year boom-and-bust pattern has effectively ended—not because markets have matured into a placid equilibrium, but because the engine that once forced 80–90% drawdowns has been dismantled by Bitcoin’s own monetary design. The 4-Year Bitcoin Cycle Is Dead In his Update #66 newsletter published on August 15, 2025, Edwards writes that since the April 2024 halving, Bitcoin’s annual supply growth has fallen to roughly 0.8%, “less than half of Gold’s 1.5–3%,” adding that this shift “made Bitcoin the hardest asset known to man, with look-ahead certainty.” With miners’ new-issuance supply now a rounding error compa…

The cryptocurrency market was impressive for most of the week, with Bitcoin and large-cap altcoins leading the charge. While BTC ran up to a new all-time high around $124,100, the other top cryptocurrencies, like Ethereum and Solana, flirted with their former record-high prices. Most notably, the price of Ethereum continued its positive form, briefly touching the $4,800 level on Thursday, August 14. The latest on-chain data suggests that ETH and other altcoins might only be at the start of an extended rally, with the potential to outpace Bitcoin, the world’s largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization. ERC20 Stablecoin Supply Hits New All-Time High Of Nearly $130 Bi…

The ongoing war in Russia has counterintuitively been one of the most significant bearish catalysts in the black gold– Russia floods the market of Oil to countries like India to sponsor its war, prompting threats from Trump. The war may continue despite the Trump-Putin meeting, with Ukrainian President Zelenskyy announcing that it would be "impossible" to concede land, mentioning Crimea. As a matter of fact, Ukraine landed hits on one of the key pipelines taking Russian Oil to Hungary, leaving the Hungarian PM Orbán in fury (He is one of the only pro-Russian leaders in Europe). In the Middle East, on the other hand, Hamas is getting cornered into a ceasefire deal as …

Even memecoin Dogecoin (DOGE) has not been spared, losing 5.2% of its value. The Sleeping Giant mill is turning again for the first time since 2014, says Abcourt Mines (TSXV: ABI). The company has invested approximately C$42 million in restarting the 950-tonne-per-day mill and the gold mine below it. About 98% of the estimated resources at the Sleeping Giant mine are at a depth accessible from the existing shaft. The measured and indicated resource is 755,000 tonnes grading 7.14 g/t gold, containing 173,330 oz., while the inferred resource is 884,000 tonnes grading 8.74 g/t gold, containing 248,300 oz.
