Gold is trading around 3,689, close to its all-time high and within the upward trend channel formed since September 5. Gold is showing a strong positive signal, so it is likely to reach 3,718 in the coming days and could even reach the 8/8 Murray around 3,750. If the gold price falls below its weekly close around 3,685, we could expect a technical correction toward the 7/8 Murray support or around 3,666, where the 21SMA is located. If gold consolidates above 3,660, it will be seen as an opportunity to resume long positions, with targets at 3,700 and 3,750. A break and consolidation below 3,666 could revive bearish pressure, and gold could reach support at 3,637. If the pr…

Ethereum has seen it all, from the ICO boom of 2017 to the NFT and DeFi explosion of 2021. Yet, in every cycle, there is a constant: fees. Ethereum is not as scalable as Solana or Base, for example, and users are susceptible to changes in gas fees. While fee changes can be used to gauge trader sentiment, which influences Ethereum price prediction models, the drivers of these fee changes ought to be organic and sustainable. In a blog post on September 21, Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum, delivered a sobering message to crypto investors and degens chasing the next god candle. He thinks that for Ethereum to survive, the chain should not hinge on the fleeting fre…

A pan-European crypto scam worth over €100M ($118M) has been broken up, according to Eurojust. Fraudsters lured investors through subtle, nefarious platforms, rerouted their money to Lithuanian accounts, and vanished once withdrawals were requested. “The alleged mastermind is suspected of large-scale fraud and money laundering,” Eurojust said in its Sept. 22 announcement. My plan at the start of 2025 was to flee to Central Europe, what could go wrong? Apparently, this is one of the many things that could go wrong. The fraud had been active since at least 2018 and had spread to Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and beyond. Europe Crypto Scam: Who Was Involved in Taking It…

In just the last 12 months, crypto millionaires have exploded in number, surging by 40% to a record 241,700 globally. Visibly, high-net-worth investors are increasingly favouring cryptocurrency and gold over traditional assets. The Crypto Wealth Report 2025 from Henley & Partners, published on 23 September 2025, reveals a meteoric rise in not only crypto millionaires but also crypto billionaires. Institutional adoption is at an all-time high. Crypto billionaires surged by 29, to 36 globally. Cryptocurrencies are even being launched by the sitting US President and the First Lady! “At the apex of the crypto wealth pyramid, the number of ultra-wealthy individuals is ri…

Mining advisory firm Appian Capital announced on Wednesday it has sold two royalty and streaming assets under its portfolio to Canada’s Versamet Royalties (TSXV: VMET) for total cash consideration of up to $170 million, of which $125 million is paid upfront. The sale comprises a 2.75% net smelter return (NSR) royalty on the Santa Rita polymetallic mine in Brazil and a 90% silver stream on the Rosh Pinah mine in Namibia. Both mines are majority-owned by Appian and have expansion projects on their way to extend production. In a press release, Appian’s founder and CEO Michael Scherb said the company had received strong interest, reflecting “the quality of the underly…

The Group of Seven (G7) nations and the European Union are said to be discussing the idea of imposing price floors on rare earths to counter China’s dominance in the supply chain, Reuters reported on Wednesday. A price floor, if imposed, would provide greater incentives for producers of rare earths and related products in those regions, which for decades have relied on Chinese supply. Rare earths, which are difficult to extract and expensive to process, are key to many high-tech products, including cell phones, EVs and defense applications. China currently dominates the global mine supply of rare earths and controls over 90% of their total processing capacity. Thi…

Why is crypto down today? Why did the BTC USD price slide below 112K, and Ethereum break under 4K? The entire crypto market shed more than $162 billion in value overnight, with total market cap now at $3.81 trillion. Liquidations have surged to over $400 million overnight, with the biggest loss of $29 million in ETH ▼-3.38% long. (source – Coinglass Liquidation Data) The current situation could be a textbook flush as overleveraged traders are wiped out in a classic shakeout. It could be the end, but it could be just another chapter in crypto’s volatile cycles. But as we predicted yesterday, the current slump is not over. EthereumPriceMarket CapETH$485.90B24h7d30d1…

The price is trading above $110,500 and the 100 hourly Simple moving average. There was a break above a connecting bearish trend line with resistance at $109,600 on the hourly chart of the BTC/USD pair (data feed from Kraken). EUR/USD Brief analysis: The upward trend has been setting the main direction in the euro's major pair since February this year. The latest unfinished segment started in late July. From the lower boundary of a strong potential reversal zone, the price has continued its sideways movement that began a month and a half ago. The structure shows the correction remains incomplete. Weekly forecast: In the coming days, the euro is likely to continue its sideways movement along the support zone. Later, conditions may form for a reversal and the start of an upward move. The rise of the major could extend to the calculated resistance levels. A breakout above them within the weekly pe…

Bitcoin continued its rally during U.S. trading yesterday and gained further during today's Asian session, reaching the 114,800 mark. Ethereum also posted significant gains, consolidating above $4,000. Yesterday, the SEC required issuers of spot ETFs for LTC, XRP, SOL, ADA, and DOGE to withdraw their 19b-4 filings, following the approval of general listing standards that replace the need for individual submissions. Clearly, this change will significantly accelerate the approval process for new crypto ETFs, making the old approach obsolete. As I noted earlier, the SEC's decision marks a turning point in recognizing cryptocurrencies as a legitimate asset class. The withdr…

Tuesday Trade Review:1H Chart of GBP/USD On Tuesday, the GBP/USD pair was practically motionless. Although the downtrend on the hourly time frame can be considered complete, as the trendline has been broken, traders are hesitant to open new positions. This market standstill is easily explained by caution ahead of major U.S. labor market and unemployment reports scheduled for release on Friday. However, these key reports might not even be published due to the government shutdown, which begins today. To recap, a shutdown is a temporary suspension of government operations and funding due to the absence of an approved budget for the next fiscal year. Until Republicans and…

Trade Review and Advice on Trading the EuroThe test of the 1.1730 price level occurred at a time when the MACD indicator had already moved significantly below the zero line, which limited the downside potential of the pair. For this reason, I chose not to sell the euro. The second test of this level coincided with the MACD entering the oversold zone, which triggered the realization of Scenario #2 (Buy) and resulted in a 25-pip upward move. Yesterday's unexpected drop in the U.S. Consumer Confidence Index for September, as reported by The Conference Board, led to a notable decline in the dollar and a corresponding move higher in the euro. The reported value of 94.2 points …

EUR/USD 5-Minute Analysis The EUR/USD currency pair continued to trade... sideways throughout Wednesday. In recent days, we didn't expect the market to settle into a flat range, but at this point, we can confidently say the pair is in either a sideways channel or a movement that strongly resembles one. There remains an upward tilt, yet macroeconomic data and fundamentals have almost no lasting influence on price movement. To be more specific, individual economic reports do trigger market reactions, but these reports often contradict one another—preventing any sustained trend formation. Wednesday was a textbook example. Eurozone inflation data came in exactly as foreca…

Uptober is only beginning, and we’re already seeing a sharp uptrend from nearly all the market’s top cryptocurrencies. This has resulted in many short positions totaling $337.21M being liquidated on October 2, according to CoinGlass data. Meanwhile, Bitcoin’s ($BTC) massive rally brought it back to $120K, with some analysts projecting that it could finally hit $125K with support from the upward spike in gold’s value and reduced inflation risks, as reported by CoinTelegraph. With Q4 historically being great for the crypto market, the time is right to grab some of the best altcoins to buy, including Bitcoin Hyper ($HYPER) and Best Wallet Token ($BEST). Market Uptrend De…

Gold is on the way to new all-time highs, placing the price within a strong upward trend similar to the movement formed on September 11. XAU/USD could continue its rise in the coming hours, reaching 3,963, a level that coincides with the top of the uptrend channel. At current price levels, gold is having a small consolidation. If the price remains above +1/8 Murray in the coming days, we could expect a strong upward acceleration that could push the instrument up to 3,950 and even to the psychological level of $4,000. Conversely, if the gold price falls below the key level of 3,906, we believe it could reach the 21SMA around 3,872 or the bottom of the uptrend channel aroun…

Asia Market Wrap - Japan Politics Send Markets in a Tailspin, Nikkei Up 4.8% Most Read: USD/JPY Price Outlook: Key Levels, BoJ, and Political Risks Global markets were boosted over the weekend as stock prices soared while currencies and bonds fell. Some investors turned to gold and Bitcoin for safety as Japan’s election of a pro-stimulus leader fueled expectations for aggressive fiscal spending. In Asia, shares jumped to new highs. The Nikkei 225 rose about 5% percent, reaching a record after Sanae Takaichi won the election as the new Prime Minister. At the same time the yen fell close to two percent, slipping to about 150 per dollar and hitting a low against the euro.…

Bitcoin had been steadily consolidating above the $110,000 mark since July (dipping only twice below before rallying consequently), but hadn’t been able to retake its record levels. Hesitancy was the norm: Summer trading tends to reduce inflows, and supplemented with weakening US Data, the Greenback finding a bottom (will it hold?) and Gold taking all the attention, Cryptocurrencies were a bit more timid. Timid but solid, however, a lack of pursued upside was far from implying weakness. The Crypto Market Cap held steadily around and above the 2021 and 2024 peaks, proof that buyers were not backing out of historically elevated valuations. Nonetheless, a mid-to-end Septe…

In stark contrast to the broader resurgence in the cryptocurrency market, where many assets are approaching or exceeding record highs, the XRP price finds itself in a precarious position. The altcoin has consistently failed to breach its nearest resistance level at $3, resulting in a retracement to crucial support levels that are vital for preventing a significant correction and further declines. XRP Price Struggles As Bitcoin Hits New High While Bitcoin (BTC) recently celebrated a new all-time high above $126,000, Ethereum (ETH) is inching closer to its own record of $4,900, and Binance Coin (BNB) mirrors Bitcoin’s ascent with prices rising above $1,300, XRP has faced…

On the weekly chart, the price is trying to push through the support of the MACD line. This line has been broken several times in the past (marked by green arrows), but each time the price quickly rebounded as there was no weekly close below it. The same may happen now — if the next weekly candle does not close below the current level of 1.3400, then a breakout into a medium-term downtrend is unlikely. However, the probability of a true breakout is significantly higher this time compared to previous attempts, because back then the Marlin oscillator remained in positive territory, whereas now it is situated in negative territory. On the daily chart, the price has moved …

There’s all sorts of market sayings that investors turn to when they want to ignore facts. “This time it’s different” or “This is the new normal.” But, here’s another saying to consider: “Be fearful when others are greedy and greedy when others are fearful.” The U.S. stock market has bounced back from its early year decline and is posting gains of about 13% since January. The S&P 500 has touched a new record high, but valuations are high—very high. The 12-month forward price-to-earnings ratio for the S&P 500 stands at 26—that’s bubble territory, and far above the 20-year average of 16. For some, today’s AI-driven euphoria on Wall Street is reminiscent of the dot…

Canada's trade deficit widened significantly in August, reaching 6.3 billion CAD compared to 3.8 billion CAD in July. The key factor behind this shift was the implementation of new tariffs, which led to a noticeable decline in exports to the United States. Weakened exports are expected to put pressure on GDP growth in the third quarter, which already looks uncertain after the disappointing second-quarter contraction of -0.4%. The likelihood of a rebound now appears low. Consumer demand in Canada is rising, primarily due to the Bank of Canada's rate cuts, which have encouraged household spending. Not even the threat of higher prices from new U.S. tariffs deterred Canadian …

EUR/USD Yesterday, the euro reached and tested the target support level at 1.1605 before reversing upward, likely with the intention of closing Monday's price gap. The immediate growth target is the signal-interim level at 1.1779. A breakout above this level would open the path toward the upper boundary of the price channel near the 1.1910 mark. The signal line of the Marlin oscillator has formed its own upward channel, and the current reversal is occurring from its lower boundary — a technical confirmation of bullish momentum building. The first growth target is the MACD line at 1.1687, followed by 1.1779. On the four-hour chart, the resistance from the MACD line coinci…

So, gold just became the main character again. The world is a hot mess right now. There’s a new war starting every other day, the central banks are tweaking rates like it’s nothing, and the boomers are hoarding gold like it’s 2008. Add to this some inflation and a weak dollar, and boom, the gold price is now $4,000. Basically, the world is now Golum and gold is its precious. (Source: Tradingview) What we are seeing here is a domino effect taking hold. The first domino fell with the Ukraine-Russia and Israel-Gaza wars that drove investors towards gold as a hedge against instability. A cooling job market and inflation in the US had people expecting rate cuts from the…

Trade Analysis and Advice on the British Pound The test of 1.3298 occurred when the MACD indicator had already moved far below the zero mark, which limited the pair's downward potential. For this reason, I did not sell the pound. This week, investors will focus on speeches by U.S. Federal Reserve representatives Austan D. Goolsbee and Alberto Musalem. Markets will closely monitor their statements to get a sense of the regulator's future plans regarding monetary policy. Any hints of tightening or, on the contrary, readiness to ease policy could trigger sharp swings in the currency markets. Alongside these speeches, particular importance will be given to the University of M…
