While Bitcoin (BTC) is holding well above the $100,000 mark, digital gold is suffering today, down about 2.30% as we speak. While the initiator is still surviving from not-so-bullish signals, the strength of the broader crypto market is being challenged by its lower-cap peers. Altcoins such as Solana (SOL), Dogecoin (DOGE), and XRP are sending some scarier signs through increased selling pressure. Still, major platform coins Ethereum (ETH) and BNB are both holding relatively strong, seeing less dramatic outflows compared to their more volatile counterparts. Despite being up since the lows of Monday, November 3rd, the Total Market Cap is still close to 20% down from it…

Translating each and every move in markets into concrete headlines or themes can be chaotic. Sometimes, the Market moves in anticipation of news before reversing course as the news land. Sometimes, Markets overcome negative headlines in a brighter future outlook. And sometimes, the Market just throws the towel for no particular reasons. Today's session seems to be the case. There is always a possibility of things happening behind the scenes and the public learning the true cause of a move later, but for now that does not seem to be the case. (FYI, US President Trump is speaking with Mark Carney live here) Uncertainty from a more prolonged US Government shutdown cou…

Overview: A combination the US and China moving away from the trade brink, more US trade agreements (and frameworks) in Southeast Asia (Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia), and a strong showing by Milei's party in Argentina have boosted risk appetites in today's activity. The US S&P 500 and Nasdaq are poised to gap higher for the second consecutive session. The greenback is mostly softer but if were not for the Australian dollar's strength (~0.6%), encouraged by less than dovish comments by the central bank governor, the other G10 currencies are up less than 0.2% and the Swiss franc is the laggard, off 0.1%. Most emerging market currencies are also stronger. Th…

In what could soon be recognized as the worst-performing week since November 2022, the market’s leading crypto, Bitcoin (BTC), experienced a significant downturn on Friday, plummeting to an eight-month low of $80,000. Market analysts suggest that this downturn began in earnest on October 10, when the market first exhibited signs of a downward trajectory. That day was marked by a brutal liquidation event, erasing nearly $21 billion within minutes and triggering a series of flash crashes that have since perpetuated fears throughout the industry. Digital Asset Treasuries At Risk? Ran Neuner, the founder of Crypto Banter, believes he has uncovered the reasons behind the cr…

While the U.S. dollar is in demand among traders who are reassessing their riskier strategies ahead of important data expected this week, Federal Reserve Vice Chair Philip Jefferson said he believes risks to the labor market are tilted to the downside. However, he reiterated his view that policymakers should proceed slowly as U.S. interest rates approach neutral levels. "The balance of risks in the economy has shifted in recent months: downside risks to employment have increased compared with upside risks to inflation, which have likely somewhat diminished recently," Jefferson said in prepared remarks delivered Monday at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. Jefferson…

Understanding Required Minimum Distributions and Their Impact on Retirement Savings Required Minimum Distributions, or RMDs, are mandatory withdrawals that apply to tax-deferred retirement accounts once you reach the age established by current IRS rules. They are calculated using your account balance and a life expectancy factor, which means the dollar amount generally increases over time. While you are always allowed to take more than the required amount, larger withdrawals can weaken long-term retirement stability because they remove principal that can never be replaced inside a tax-advantaged account. How RMDs Work for IRAs and 401(k)s RMDs apply to most traditional r…

Over about a month, the team will convert its Treasury’s 890 ETH and 650,000 USDC, roughly $4.5-$5M, into RON. At current prices, that equals about 1.3% of circulating supply. All purchases will be executed on-chain with third-party market makers, and the team stressed that no RON sales are planned. Ronin fits that theme. The blockchain gamin…
