Ethereum is currently under pressure inside a falling channel, consolidating after its recent rally. With $4,150 acting as key support, ETH seems to be preparing for a bounce back toward the $4,788 resistance and all-time high zone. ETH Holds Steady Near $4,190 As $4,150 Support Faces Test Ash Crypto, in his recent Ethereum 4H chart analysis shared on X, pointed out that ETH is currently trading around $4,190, holding just above the key $4,150 support zone. Digital-asset investment products pulled in $3.75 billion last week, lifting assets under management to $244 billion on August 13. The total ranks among the largest weekly inflows seen recently, CoinShares data shows. Prices rose, but the main driver was money moving into funds rather than a broad retail rush. Concentrated Flows From A Single Product Based on reports from CoinShares, almost all of the inflows came through one provider. The US accounted for $3.73 billion, almost the entire week’s total. Canada added $33.7 million, Hong Kong close to $21 million, and Australia $12 million. By contrast, Brazil and Sweden recorded outflows of $10.6 million and $50 million…

This week has been rough for risk assets, particularly tech. The Nasdaq has entered a correction phase, and the one for Cryptocurrencies is even steeper. Markets have been awaiting further news from Jerome Powell concerning any type of rate cuts, as seen in the signs of hesitancy in Equities and Crypto. He is about to speak in a few minutes at the Jackson Hole Symposium. You can access the speech right here. Digital assets have always been volatile, a given due to their youth compared to other asset classes: After stellar July and August trading, which took Bitcoin to a retest of its all-time highs and, more surprisingly, Ethereum from $2,500 on July 1st to $4,790 in l…

Chainlink’s partnership with Japanese SBI is all over the headlines Today. Investors are majorly excited as these two start working together, especially as this collaboration not only feeds into Chainlink’s use case but also spreads crypto awareness among non-crypto natives, opening up fresh liquidity. The LINK price chart is also looking very good from a technical analysis point of view. 200 Billion USD! What does that mean? Is SBI buying 200 billion worth of LINK? This is an institutional partnership. SBI Group is one of Japan’s most significant financial conglomerates and has been a dominant provider of internet-based financial services since the late 1990s. Under the GENIUS Act, passed in July, the Treasury explores whether DeFi protocols should carry built-in identity checks at the smart contract level. It’s an approach pitched as a weapon against illicit finance but seen by critics as an assault on the foundations of permissionless code. Bitcoin is facing a pivotal moment as it consolidates just above the $110K level after slipping below the $112K support yesterday. Bulls are attempting to hold this level to avoid further downside and to spark a recovery rally. However, many analysts remain cautious, pointing out that momentum has weakened since Bitcoin’s all-time high just over a week ago, with the market now retracing more than 10%. Top analyst Axel Adler shared critical insights, highlighting that the nearest strong support lies within the $100K–$107K range. This zone is particularly important as it represents the confluence of two major indicators: the Short-Term Holder (STH) Realized Price and the …

Gold prices have continued to advance this week on a combination of a weak US Dollar and renewed haven demand, setting the stage for a potential retest of all-time-highs at $3500/oz next week. The return of haven demand may be attributed to the ongoing Russia/Ukraine discussions, Fed independence concerns (which are also having an effect on the Dollar) and a potential surge in tension between Iran, the US and the E3 (Germany, France and England). Rising Geopolitical Risks Just as it seemed market participants may be getting a prolonged reprieve from a heightened geopolitical risk environment which has continued throughout 2025, it appears these hopes are faltering. The…

China-backed miner MMG expects to secure European approval for its $500 million bid to buy Anglo American’s nickel assets, even as regulators question Beijing’s grip on critical mineral supply chains. Troy Hey, MMG’s executive general manager of corporate relations, confirmed that European antitrust officials had raised concerns about the company’s Chinese majority ownership, but said the firm is confident the deal will clear. “From a competition basis, we’re very confident that as new entrants to this market . . . and with very strong demand in Europe, we’re in a good place,” Hey told the Financial Times. The euro may once again come under pressure after French President Emmanuel Macron made yet another unsuccessful attempt late last week to urge the deeply divided French parliament to ensure stability in the country rather than provoke another government collapse. On Sunday, the French president announced the formation of a new cabinet. The new (and former) prime minister, Sebastien Lecornu, must now urgently resolve the protracted political crisis by passing the budget. However, he already failed to do so once before, and it is clear that Macron's refusal to make major concessions to his political opponents once again puts the prime minister's future at risk. Lecornu, w…

Between its trade war and the "big, beautiful budget", which is both regressive and adds on more debt, the US has roiled the capital markets. Before the weekend, the US said the EU was not negotiating in good faith. President Trump threatened a 50% tariff as of June 1. This looks harsher than the current state of play with China. Europe's Stoxx 600 was sold, and it suffered its biggest loss since April. He also called for a 25% tariff on Apple and Samsung smartphones. Benchmark 10-year yields fell 5-8 bp. The euro itself dropped about two-thirds of a cent but recovered to settled around 0.7% higher on the day and posted its first weekly gain since the week ending April 18…

Securities and Exchange Commission Chair Paul Atkins has declared “a new day” for the SEC, as he pledged to reshape the agency’s approach to crypto assets through transparent, participatory rulemaking with a focus on investor protection. Atkins insisted that he has seen first-hand how ambiguous or nonexistent regulations in the digital asset space create uncertainty and inhibit innovation. While giving a testimony before the US Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government on 3 June 2025, Atkins said, “How we implement regulations at the SEC is crucial; it is one thing to write a regulation, quite another for it to achieve its intended …

Ethereum has been consolidating around the $2,500 price level over the past few days, showing little momentum in either direction. The second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap has struggled to sustain a breakout above the $2,600 resistance zone, despite the inflows into Ethereum Spot ETFs last week. One event that has sparked interest, and possibly concern, among Ethereum holders is the reactivation of a dormant whale wallet holding millions worth of ETH. The sudden awakening of this long-inactive address raises questions about a potential selling pressure and its market impact. First Transaction From Dormant ETH Address Since 2015 On-chain tracker Whale Alerts was…
