Crypto traders are an optimistic lot. True, Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP crypto are stable now, but the truth is, the downtrend remains. There is solid proof to illustrate this: Although the total crypto market cap is up 1.3% in 24 hours, none of the top 50 coins are up double digits, except Bittensor TAO crypto and ZCash. TAO crypto is defying gravity, adding a cool +24% in the last week of trading, only trailing ZEC, which is up +46% during this period. Admittedly, the ZEC crypto uptrend has been clear and defined, even without the flush out. Because of the privacy trend, ZEC and most privacy-centric altcoins like Dash Pay edged higher. Bitwise Chief Investment Officer Matt Hougan is now applying his long-standing Bitcoin framework to Solana — and he’s calling the setup “explosive.” In an October 29 memo, Hougan says the best trades in crypto are the ones where you get “two ways to win” with one position. For Bitcoin, he defines those two bets as: “1) The global ‘store of value’ market will grow. 2) Bitcoin will take an increasing share of that market.” He says only one of those outcomes has to be true for Bitcoin to work. Hougan sizes that “store of value” market at roughly $27.5 trillion today, including about $25 trillion in gold and $2.5 trillion in Bitcoin. He argues investors focus too much on Bi…

Following the recent launch of multiple crypto ETFs, Bitwise Asset Manager’s CIO has forecasted a bright future for the firm’s Solana Staking Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF), as investors show strong initial interest in the investment product. Bitwise Solana Staking ETF Sees Strong Start On Tuesday, Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan predicted that the Bitwise Solana Staking ETF (BSOL) could attract significant institutional interest and become one of the leading investment products based on digital assets. Hougan argued that Solana is “one of the most exciting crypto investment opportunities that exists today,” as it records “the most revenue of any blockchain.” He explained that ins…

Bitwise Chief Investment Officer Matt Hougan has predicted an ‘ETF Festival’ in 2026, pushing back against bear market fears. Speaking to CNBC on 19 November 2025, Hougan said that with the US government reopening and related legislation advancing, the crypto market could see an “ETF Palooza.” He expects over 100 new crypto ETFs/ETPs to launch, with index-based crypto ETPs set to become the most significant growth segment next year. Furthermore, Hougan said that the new wave of investors prefers to “buy a basket of crypto assets for long-term holding” rather than betting on a single blockchain. Moreover, Harvard University’s endowment increased its Bitcoin exposu…

Bitwise made it through the front door, only to get shoved down the hallway and told to screw off. On Tuesday, the SEC’s trading division approved a first-of-its-kind multi-crypto ETF before the agency’s top brass froze it. The pause came via Rule 431, a procedural tool used when internal consensus is polarized. Is this the deliberate slowing down of cryptoization in America? “SEC Division of Trading & Markets has approved the Bitwise 10 Crypto Index ETF… However, like with the Grayscale Digital Large Cap ETF, this approval order is stayed.” — Nate Geraci, President of Novadius Wealth Management What’s Inside the Bitwise 10 ETF? Bitwise has filed paperwork with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to launch what could be the first spot Chainlink ETF in the country. The idea is to give investors a straightforward, regulated way to gain exposure to LINK, Chainlink’s native token, without needing to handle wallets, private keys, or on-chain transactions. How the ETF Would Function The proposed ETF would track the daily price of LINK based on a Chainlink-to-dollar benchmark. The underlying tokens would be stored with Coinbase Custody Trust Company, and the ETF shares would be traded on a national exchange. The fund is designed to be passively managed, so there won’t be any active trading stra…

The latest Crypto Market Compass from Bitwise Europe lands like a klaxon: every major gauge of risk appetite, liquidity and macro momentum is swinging in Bitcoin’s favor, and the firm argues the move could “provide a significant tailwind” for the benchmark asset. The study notes that Bitcoin already rebounded from $101,000 to about $108,000 in the past week as traders digested a potent cocktail of cooling inflation, thawing geopolitics and an increasingly dovish Federal Reserve stance. Perfect Storm Brewing For Bitcoin Bitwise’s proprietary Cryptoasset Sentiment Index has surged to its most optimistic reading since May—“now clearly signal[ing] a bullish sentiment again,”…

RWA crypto is set for a massive shakeup this holiday season, with Bitwise filing for a groundbreaking Stablecoin and Tokenization ETF. If approved, the fund is expected to launch just before Thanksgiving, potentially triggering a year-end FOMO rally for stablecoin and real-world asset-linked tokens. With the stablecoin market now at $290Bn and tokenized assets climbing to $66Bn, this ETF could be the spark that brings institutional capital flooding into crypto. Here’s why this development matters and how it could transform the RWA space by the end of 2025. (Source – CoinGecko.com) What is Bitwise’s Stablecoin & Tokenization ETF and Why Does It Matter? Megatrends In Crypto? Bitwise begins by asserting that Bitcoin is poised to break free from its traditional four-year price cycle, setting the stage for new records. Several factors contribute to this bullish forecast. The dynamics of past cycles, including the Bitcoin Halving, interest rate fluctuations, and market booms and busts fueled by leverage, are expected to be less impactful in the coming years. …

Oil prices in early November have slightly recovered after a prolonged decline. Investors, tired of discussions about oversupply, finally received a signal to take a breather: sanctions against Russian companies are now noticeably affecting supply levels. This has somewhat eased fears of an oversaturated market, although fundamentally, the situation remains ambiguous. Modest Growth After the DeclineAfter three months of falling prices, oil quotes have finally moved upwards. Brent rose by 0.6%, reaching $63.87 per barrel, while U.S. WTI increased by 0.7% to $59.99. This is a slight but symbolic rebound: previous weeks ended in the red, with prices hitting two-week lows. Th…

Eight years ago, Donald Trump was laughed at inside the General Assembly hall. Now a new Trump UN speech set for Tuesday might upheave everything in crypto and politics. His first speech as president drew smirks and derision from diplomats who dismissed him as a loud outsider unfit for the global stage. Today, in his second term, Trump is returning not as an outlier but as the embodiment of a post-multilateral world order. Leading up to the event, the total crypto market has crashed 3.4%. “The things he said then that seemed outlandish are now things he can do and has done,” said Michael Doyle, professor of international relations at Columbia University. In a recent expert commentary, executives from BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager and a leading issuer of cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds (ETFs), identified a significant trend in the cryptocurrency market, particularly for Bitcoin (BTC). They foresee a major surge ahead, driven by recent US legislative developments such as the signing of the GENIUS Act. They assert that these developments bolster the role of stablecoins as key players in the future of digital payments. Moody’s Recession Prediction: Two More Weeks Recession risks are rising, according to Moody’s Analytics chief economist Mark Zandi. BlackRock CEO Larry Fink has taken a noticeably different tone on Bitcoin. The man who once dismissed it as a tool for money launderers now calls it a legitimate “alternative” investment. He said he’s had to go back and challenge some of his earlier assumptions about the crypto world. In a recent CBS interview, Fink admitted that back in 2017, he considered Bitcoin to be mostly used by criminals. He openly acknowledged calling it “an index of money laundering.” That view, it seems, has changed dramatically. Today, he compares Bitcoin to gold. Not as a replacement for traditional investments, but as something that could sit alongside them in a well-diversified portfolio. …

Ethereum (ETH), or as the crypto natives call it, the altcoin king, has a lot going for it, making its future price prediction fairly linear, and BlackRock Ex-CEO Joseph Chalom seems to agree. In a recent interview, Chalom said, “Ethereum has the majority of stablecoins, tokenized assets, and high-quality smart contract activity. If you’re going to digitize finance, you need a chain institutions can trust — and it’s Ethereum.” Also, as Chalom puts it, .cwp-coin-chart svg path { stroke-width: 0.65 !important; } .cwp-coin-widget-container .cwp-graph-container.positive svg path:nth-of-type(2) { stroke: #008868 !important; } .cwp-coin-widget-container .cwp-coin-…

After a month of steady Bitcoin buys, BlackRock crypto finally blinked. The firm sent 4,113 BTC—just over $429 million—to Coinbase Prime, its first sell since its ETF launched. Hours later, its IBIT fund clocked $430.8 million in outflows, the highest to date. The ripple spread quickly. Eleven spot Bitcoin ETFs posted combined net outflows of $616 million, marking a second straight day of retreat. So what’s BlackRock up to? And what are their grander crypto plans in the market? The Rise of Larry Fink And BlackRock Crypto BlackRock is the Orwellian Big Brother that has only recently become more mainstream. In 2008, BlackRock was the company the US government hired t…

Spot Bitcoin ETFs (exchange-traded funds) are one of the biggest narratives and have been a game-changer in the cryptocurrency space in the past two years. With these investment products, people get to participate in the cryptocurrency market without having to directly own the digital assets. Interestingly, one of the biggest winners—that often gets overlooked—has been the issuers, especially as the crypto industry has seen increased institutional adoption since the Bitcoin ETFs launched. According to the firm’s executive, the BTC exchange-traded funds becoming the major source of revenue for BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, was not envisioned. BlackRock’s …

BlackRock is exploring the idea of turning its exchange-traded fund shares into blockchain-based tokens. The goal is to build a stronger digital foundation for its asset offerings and make them easier to access and move around. This would link traditional financial products with the kind of tech that powers crypto. Builds on Earlier Tokenized Funds This isn’t their first step in the tokenization world. Back in March 2024, BlackRock launched a tokenized money market fund that brought in over two billion dollars. That project worked well enough to spark new ideas. Now, the focus is on expanding tokenization to include ETFs. What Tokenized ETFs Could Unlock By tokenizi…
