Robinhood Aggressively Expands Crypto Services: Rolls Out Futures And Staking

To supercharge crypto access, Robinhood is aggressively expanding its cryptocurrency services. The company announced Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL) staking for US customers, starting with New York users on 8 December 2025. The services kick off today, 9 December 2025. New Yorkers, who were previously restricted by strict state rules, can now join the action. The users will be able to earn yields by securing blockchain networks without technical glitches. 

The broker company saw surging platform volumes, exceeding $232 billion, in the past year.

Robinhood is also rolling out perpetual futures contracts with up to 7x leverage for assets like XRP, Dogecoin (DOGE), and Sui (SUI) exclusively in Europe, alongside 1,000 tokenized US stocks and money market funds for 24/7 trading.

European Users Score Big 

The European users certainly score big with new perpetual futures pairs on XRP, SOL, DOGE, SUI – building on BTC and ETH launches – all with up to 7x leverage for amplified trades.

“When we set out to expand our perpetual futures offering in the EU, we looked closely at customer behavior, requests, market standards, and the evolving regulatory environment,” the company said. “We found that many advanced traders want access and flexibility, but they also value transparency and guardrails.”

Robinhood Enters Indonesia Through Two Acquisitions 

Robinhood is targeting 17 million crypto traders as it enters Indonesian market with dual acquisitions. The broker company has agreed to acquire Buana Capital Sekuritas – a local brokerage firm, and a licensed digital asset firm PT Multi Digital Data (PT MDD).

Indonesia already has more than 19 million capital market investors and 17 million crypto investors. “We look forward to helping even more people participate in the financial system,” said Steve Quirk, Chief Brokerage Officer at Robinhood.

“Indonesia represents a fast-growing market for trading, making it an exciting place to further Robinhood’s mission to democratize finance for all,” said Patrick Chan, Head of Asia at Robinhood. “We look forward to bringing Indonesians the same innovative services that have earned the trust of Robinhood customers globally.”

Robinhood is making a move into Indonesia. They have agreed to acquire a local brokerage and a crypto trading company.

The goal is to bring their U.S. stock and crypto trading platform to that market. The deals are pending regulatory approval.
