REDATOR Ben Graham Posted July 21, 2025 REDATOR Report Share Posted July 21, 2025 Rare earth magnets are vital for electric vehicles (EVs), wind turbines, and advanced technologies—and demand is rising fast. Currently, EVs and wind account for just 17% of global magnet use. But by 2030, that share could jump to 42% to stay on track for Net Zero by 2050. EVs alone are expected to drive 22% of this demand, overtaking wind. This infographic by MINING.COM and The Northern Miner highlights the key rare earth metals for magnets—neodymium, praseodymium, dysprosium, and terbium—and the growing need to secure their supply. Watch: In this 18-minute presentation at the CentralMinEX conference in Newfoundland, TNM Group President Anthony Vaccaro examines how the world is fracturing into competing spheres of control.
