Speculation around the XRP price and XRP spot ETF spiked after REX Shares said on Sept. 15 that the REX-Osprey XRP ETF (ticker: XRPR) will begin trading this week. If confirmed, it would mark the first US fund offering direct exposure to XRP ▼-0.51%, the market’s third-largest crypto by capitalization.

This is it for XRP: The SEC Case is nearly settled, Donald Trump is president, XRP is in the strategic crypto reserve. If this doesn’t pump XRP price sky high, what will?

People said once the lawsuit was finished, XRP would teleport to $10+ instantly, and nothing happened. So what is going on?

According to the SEC, XRPR will track the performance of XRP “before fees and expenses,” with the option to use futures or swaps but primarily holding spot XRP.

Industry voices aren’t sold. Nate Geraci of Novadius Wealth Management called it “a clever regulatory end-around.” At the same time, Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart said the structure isn’t “pure spot” but rather a hybrid, combining direct XRP with exposure through foreign ETFs. What will happen to XRP price next?

XRP holders are worried that the XRP ETFs will be a total nothingburger.

As one X user wrote: “There is literally nothing to look out for anymore so we are just grasping at straws now the ETF’s and then when that turns out a nothingburger.”

With that said, BTC and ETH didn’t reach thousands in a day, you gotta have some patience. We’re seeing positive news that echos what they, and even SOL, went through. Compare this year to last.

The big unlock that many predict is the Clarity Act, which will create regulatory clarity for digital assets like Bitcoin and XRP. Congress is expected to sign the Clarity Act into law sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Where Does the XRP Price Head Next After the XRP ETF?

Following the announcement, XRP clawed back from heavy selling pressure, stabilizing around $3.02.

XRP is holding above $3.01, the key support level, with $3.00 as the next line if it slips. Resistance stands at $3.04-$3.05, where a breakout could swing momentum bullish.

The 20 SMA recently crossed above the 200 in a Golden Cross, but flattening shows indecision.  In short, $3.01 is the line in the sand, and $3.04–$3.05 is the gate to the next leg higher.
