Coinbase has backed CoinDCX since 2020 through its venture arm, Coinbase Ventures, and this latest investment seeks to deepen that partnership. According to its transparency report, the CoinDCX currently has over 20.4 million users with a $165 billion annual transaction volume. Further, it has about $1.2 billion in assets under custody. It’s generates roughly $141 million in annual revenues, making it one of the biggest crypto exchanges in the country. According to an article published by Nikkei Asia on 15 October 2025, the revisions to The Financial Instruments and Exchange Act (FIEA) will give the Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission (SESC) the authority to investigate and prosecute crypto-related insider trading.
