Northern Dynasty Minerals (TSX: NDM; NYSE-A: NAK) says it has filed a motion in Alaska’s federal district court seeking a summary judgment briefing schedule with respect to its pending litigation over the veto of its flagship mine project during the Biden Administration. For more than two decades, the Vancouver-based miner has been looking to develop its Pebble project, touted as one of the world’s largest copper-gold-molybdenum resources. However, the proposed mine has faced stern local opposition and undergone a protracted period of review due to its location within the Bristol Bay watershed, where some of the world’s largest sockeye salmon fisheries reside. The on-chain analytics firm Glassnode has revealed an Ethereum indicator that reliably flagged the price bottom in advance of the recent rally. Ethereum NUPL Fell Into Capitulation Zone Earlier In a new post on X, Glassnode has talked about an Ethereum indicator from its joint report with cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase. The metric in question is the “Net Unrealized Profit/Loss,” which measures, as its name suggests, the net amount of profit or loss that the investors of the asset as a whole are holding right now. The metric works by going through the transaction history of each coin on the network to see what price it was last moved at. If this previous transfer valu…

The result is a humiliating blow to Ishiba, as the government lost its majority in the lower house in October. The stinging defeat could be the end of the road for Ishiba. The Prime Minister has declared he will remain in office, but there is bound to be pressure from within the coalition for Ishiba to resign. Op…

The North American session features the Bank of Canada and FOMC meetings, the US and Mexico Q2 GDP, and the ADP announces its estimate of US private sector jobs estimate. Emerging market currencies are mixed, most Asia Pacific currencies are lower, while central European currencies are firmer. The Mexican peso is among the strongest, though that honor goes to the South Korean won, which is up about…

Overview: The dollar jumped yesterday on the back of rising rates as if despite the two dovish dissents by governors, yesterday's FOMC meeting was a hawkish hold. It seemed to us that Fed Chair Powell referred to downside risks more than upside risks. The dollar's pullback today has been limited, and the consolidation looks more like the breath that refreshes rather than the end of the short covering rally that began at the start of the month. President Trump announced a several new tariff schedules as the August 1 deadline looms. Note too that the arguments in the appeal case that challenge the legality of the reciprocal tariffs will be heard today. Despite stronger than…

Markets are still rattling about the crazy Friday trading, post-Non-Farm Payrolls. Equities were trading in paradise territory after a streak of positive US Data (that caught Markets off-guard, Participants were expecting worse data due to tariffs). But the picture quickly reversed, and markets were starting to trade mostly risk-on in many of the sessions prior to Friday, taking Stocks to Greed territory (on the Fear-Greed Index). Crypto analyst EGRAG CRYPTO has long been one of the most vocal bulls of XRP, calling for higher prices even when the cryptocurrency was being weighed down by Ripple’s battle with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). However, as the altcoin has struggled due to the current bearish market, the analyst has called out multiple important levels to watch. While he continues to call for new all-time highs, EGRAG warns that XRP must hold this last line of defense or risk falling into a bear market. When you picture an American jet fighter on a critical mission or the latest electric vehicle (EV) rolling off a factory line, you may not realize that several of the key materials that drive these technologies, including tungsten, come from halfway across the world. Although tungsten is a critical mineral prized for its unmatched density, high melting point, and hardness, the US has gone more than ten years without producing a single ounce domestically, relying instead on foreign suppliers to fuel innovation. This gap creates US national defense implications and leaves high-tech manufacturing industries vulnerable to disruptions in the supply chain at any tim…
