XRP-linked exchange-traded funds reached about $60 million in assets under management on December 17, according to market reports, even as XRP’s spot price slid. At the time of reporting, XRP was trading around $1.86, down more than 8% in the last week. That gap between ETF growth and a falling spot price has left some investors puzzled. ETF Flows And How They Work According to Chad Steingraber, the way ETFs operate helps explain the disconnect. ETF shares trade on exchanges like regular stocks during market hours. Fund managers then tally net flows at the end of the trading day and arrange purchases of the underlying XRP after the market closes. Because of that timin…

Bitcoin continues to struggle below the $90,000 level as volatility remains elevated and market conviction weakens. Short-term price swings have failed to establish a clear directional bias, reinforcing a broader sense of uncertainty among traders and investors. While price remains historically high, internal market conditions suggest that underlying stress is building beneath the surface, particularly within the mining sector. A recent analysis by Axel Adler highlights growing pressure on Bitcoin miners using the Miner Financial Health Index, a composite metric that assesses mining profitability relative to price. Readings above 80% historically signal excessive profit…

The wave pattern on the 4-hour chart for EUR/USD has changed, but overall it still remains quite clear. There is no talk of canceling the upward trend segment that began in January 2025; however, the wave structure starting from July 1 has taken on a complex and extended form. In my view, the instrument has completed the construction of corrective wave 4, which took a very non-standard shape. Within this wave, we observed exclusively corrective structures, so there is no doubt about the corrective nature of the decline. In my opinion, the formation of the upward trend segment has not been completed, and its targets extend as far as the 25th level. The series of waves a-b-…

SkyBridge Capital founder Anthony Scaramucci said he still sees a path to Solana reaching $2,500 over a five-to-ten-year horizon, arguing that tokenization plus clearer US regulation could turn Solana into a core financial “rail system.” Scaramucci made the remarks in an interview with SolanaFloor filmed during last week’s Solana Breakpoint conference and released on Dec. 18. Why Solana Is Still Poised For $2,500 Scaramucci framed the $2,500 thesis as a long-duration bet that won’t play out cleanly. “It’s not going to come without… volatility,” he said, pointing to what he called a messy US regulatory year and sticky inflation as headwinds that “probably slowed down our…

Since yesterday's CPI report, metals have been rising through irregular waves, but still rallying more consistently than other asset classes. Platinum (XPT/USD) is once again leading the pack as its push toward decade highs continues, but one metal that we haven't discussed much is Palladium (XPD/USD), which is also printing new multi-year highs. It appears that a new trend for alternative precious metals has begun. Unlike the more popularly traded Gold and Silver, both Platinum and Palladium derive significant value from their extreme rarity and highly specialized industrial uses. …

Many pre-retirees and retirees want to ensure their hard earned retirement savings pass smoothly to the people they care about most. Understanding how IRA and 401(k) beneficiary rules work is an important part of long term wealth protection, especially for families who want to preserve purchasing power across generations. For families concerned about inflation, market volatility, and growing economic uncertainty, physical gold and other IRS approved precious metals inside a self-directed Gold IRA can help create a more stable and predictable legacy. Understanding How IRA and 401(k) Beneficiary Rules Work Retirement accounts do not follow the same rules as other assets wh…

Many retirees reach a point where their home no longer fits their lifestyle, budget, or long-term goals. Downsizing can free up significant cash, reduce monthly expenses, and create breathing room in retirement. The key question is how to make sure the equity you unlock continues to work for you, especially in an environment where inflation, market volatility, and a weakening dollar can quickly erode purchasing power. Converting a portion of those funds into physical gold and other precious metals through a self-directed Gold IRA can offer a dependable foundation for long-term financial security. The Rising Cost of Retirement and Why Downsizing Is on the Table Retirees f…

Many affluent retirees want to keep more of what they worked so hard to save, especially when facing higher taxes from required withdrawals and market-driven distributions. One way to pursue greater tax efficiency is by balancing traditional paper assets with physical gold and other IRS approved precious metals inside a self directed Gold IRA. Incorporating tangible metals can help stabilize your long term retirement strategy, reduce reliance on fully taxable withdrawals, and support a more predictable, tax efficient income plan. Understanding How Retirement Withdrawals Are Taxed Traditional IRAs, 401(k)s, and similar tax deferred accounts are taxed as ordinary income wh…

Many retirees are drawn to the Roth IRA because it offers something every saver wants in retirement: the ability to take withdrawals without owing income taxes. While this advantage is important, relying on tax benefits alone does not protect a lifetime of savings from inflation, market volatility, currency weakness, or growing economic uncertainty. This is why more affluent retirees are pairing the Roth’s tax-free features with the lasting stability of physical gold and other precious metals through a self-directed Gold IRA. Understanding How Roth IRA Withdrawals Work in Retirement A Roth IRA allows your investments to grow tax free and enables qualified distributions i…

Many pre-retirees wonder whether it makes sense to draw from their retirement savings before claiming Social Security. This decision can shape how well your income keeps pace with inflation, how much market volatility you expose yourself to, and how confidently you enter retirement. For many Americans who want stability and long-term protection, incorporating physical gold and other precious metals into a retirement strategy can provide an essential anchor during those early transition years. Understanding the Timing Question: Retirement Savings vs. Social Security Choosing when to start Social Security is one of the most important decisions pre-retirees make, and it oft…

For GBP/USD, the wave count continues to indicate the formation of an upward trend segment (bottom chart), but over the past six months it has taken on a complex and extended form (top chart). The trend segment that began on July 1 can be considered wave 4, or any global corrective wave, since it clearly has a corrective rather than an impulsive internal wave structure. The same applies to its internal sub-waves. The downward wave structure that started on September 17 has taken the form of a five-wave a-b-c-d-e pattern and has been completed. The instrument is now in the stage of forming a new upward wave set. Of course, any wave structure can become more complex and ext…

The EUR/USD pair has started a corrective pullback and for the third consecutive day has been "assaulting" imbalance 9. Let me remind you that an imbalance zone is not only an area of interest for traders, but also, in a sense, a support zone. So far, however, we see neither a clear reaction to the imbalance nor its complete disregard. Trader activity is once again drifting toward zero. Thus, a new "bullish" signal that would allow traders to open new long positions may form, but I do not yet see a market reaction to the pattern. I would also remind you that I advised buying the euro from imbalance zones 3 and 8 as well, where "bullish" signals were also formed. As of now…

The GBP/USD pair completed a reversal in favor of the U.S. dollar and returned to the "bullish" imbalance 11 after liquidity was taken from the previous swing. And that's where all movement ended. The reaction to this pattern was seen last week, but there is nothing wrong with a second or even third execution of the same pattern. Let me remind you that imbalances can be filled by 50% or even 100%. Sometimes this requires several attempts. Thus, in the near future the price may bounce off the imbalance, push deeper into it, then reverse, take liquidity from the last "bearish" swing, and then reverse again. Only if the imbalance is invalidated will I consider a scenario of …

Trade Breakdown and Trading Tips for the Japanese Yen The test of the 156.13 price level occurred when the MACD indicator was just beginning to move up from the zero line, which confirmed a correct entry point for buying the dollar. As a result, the pair rose by more than 60 points. Comments from the head of the Bank of Japan regarding further interest rate hikes diverged from market expectations, which triggered this reaction. In the second half of the day, the key focus will be the release of U.S. existing home sales data, as well as the University of Michigan's consumer sentiment index and inflation expectations. These figures will serve as an important barometer of th…

Ethereum has been struggling to regain traction below the $3,000 level since Monday, with repeated rejection attempts reinforcing a fragile market structure. Bulls continue to lose ground as upside momentum fades, while sentiment across the market remains dominated by apathy and underlying fear. Trading activity has thinned, relief rallies have been short-lived, and many participants appear hesitant to commit capital in a market that lacks clear directional conviction. As price drifts sideways under key resistance, the broader narrative has shifted from optimism to caution. Despite this weak price action, on-chain derivatives data tells a more complex story. According …

Trade Breakdown and Trading Tips for the British Pound The test of the 1.3369 price level occurred when the MACD indicator was just beginning to move down from the zero line, which confirmed a correct entry point for selling the pound. However, the pair did not go on to post a major decline. Despite the fact that UK retail sales fell by 0.1% in November this year, the pound barely reacted. Although the data came as an unpleasant surprise to the market, which had been expecting confirmation of resilient consumer demand. In the second half of the day, the focus will shift to U.S. existing home sales data, as well as the consumer sentiment index and inflation expectations fr…

Trade Breakdown and Trading Tips for the European Currency The price test of 1.1715 occurred at a moment when the MACD indicator was just beginning to move down from the zero line, which confirmed a correct entry point for selling the euro. As a result, the pair declined by 10 points. German data had no impact on the pair's direction. Given that producer prices remained unchanged and the GfK report brought no surprises, this had no noticeable effect on the EUR/USD rate in the first half of the day. It is clear that a cautious sentiment currently prevails in the market. Next, we are awaiting figures on existing home sales. This indicator serves as a kind of barometer of th…

Today, the pair showed a strong bullish impulse, breaking through two round levels at 156.00 and 157.00, as well as resistance at 157.20. The yen extended its intraday losses after opening remarks by Bank of Japan Governor Kazuo Ueda at the press conference following the policy meeting. At the conclusion of the two-day meeting on Friday, the Bank of Japan decided to raise the short-term policy rate by 25 basis points to 0.75%, reaching a level considered the highest in three decades. This move had largely been priced in by the markets and did not trigger sharp fluctuations in the yen. In its accompanying statement, the Bank of Japan said it would continue to raise interes…

Many retirees want to leave their children a strong financial legacy, yet the tax rules surrounding inherited retirement accounts can be confusing and costly if not understood early. Affluent families often devote decades to building large IRA or 401(k) balances, but without proper planning, heirs can face avoidable taxes that shrink the value of what is passed down. This is why many retirement savers are exploring how incorporating physical gold and other IRS approved precious metals through a self-directed Gold IRA can help protect long-term purchasing power and reduce the impact of tax-driven erosion. Understanding How Inherited Retirement Accounts Are Taxed The IRS h…

US Equities are closing the week on a better note as the CPI report triggers pricing for further rate cuts in 2026. The roles seem to have reversed compared to last week's Fed Speaker communications. NY Fed President Williams pointed towards a further pause this morning, suggesting the CPI data may have been affected by "distortions," while Goolsbee seemed positively surprised by the inflation figures. But another, more fundamental theme could be lifting stocks: Traders are pricing in the Bank of Japan hitting the brakes on future hikes. After an 11-month pause, the BoJ just hiked rates to 0.75%, the highest level in 30 years. While markets have been concerned that Bo…

ioneer (ASX: INR) (NASDAQ: IONR) now expects to complete its partner search for the Rhyolite Ridge lithium-boron mine project in Nevada during the first half of 2026, the company said in a year-end update Friday. In July, the Australian mine developer launched a formal strategic partnering process after Sibanye-Stillwater (JSE: SSW)(NYSE: SBSW) pulled out of the project earlier in the year. At the time, ioneer said the partner search, which is being advised by Goldman Sachs, would take up to four months. However, the process has been dragged into the new year, which the company attributes to market and geopolitical factors. In its latest update, ioneer said it rem…

Crypto analyst Quantum Ascend has published a weekly-chart “roadmap” for Shiba Inu (SHIB) in a new video, laying out three upside targets for a potential altcoin cycle, while warning that SHIB’s deep multi-year drawdown could cap the move if macro conditions deteriorate. The Base Case For Shiba Inu Price In his X post, Quantum Ascend listed “Altseason Targets” as a conservative level (“$0.47 e-8,” as written), a “Primary” target of $0.00014, and a “Blow-Off” target of $0.00035. In the video, the analyst anchored the roadmap to Elliott Wave-style structure and Fibonacci extensions, and emphasized that the bullish path is conditional, not guaranteed. Starting from SHIB’s …

The US Export-Import Bank (EXIM) has increased potential funding to over $2 billion for Graphite One’s (TSXV: GPH) Alaska-to-Ohio supply chain. The bank on Thursday issued non-binding letters of interest tied to the Graphite Creek project near Nome for $670 million, up from $570 million. The prospective loan for an anode materials plant in northeastern Ohio jumped to $1.4 billion, up from $325 million, with a 15-year loan repayment period. EXIM indicated it could cover about 70% of total capital spending through first production, with the balance to come from commercial lenders and other US agencies. “There’s no reason the US should be dependent on foreign-sourced…

Canada’s Erdene Resource Development (TSX: ERD) is working to turn its new Bayan Khundii open-pit gold mine in Mongolia into the anchor of a future minerals district that will one day produce several metals, CEO Peter Akerley says. Erdene poured first gold at Bayan Khundii in September – about 10 years after the first exploration hole was drilled – and expects to achieve nameplate production by the end of the month. The operation has been designed to process 650,000 tonnes of ore and produce 85,000 oz. of gold per year. “We see Bayan Khundii as a foundation to build out a new multi-mine, multi-commodity district,” Aekerley told MINING.COM’s sister publication, The…
