Ethereum’s price action has weakened further over the past 24 hours, with the cryptocurrency falling below $3,000 and shedding about 6.8% in the last 24 hours alone. The immediate price action points to reclaiming this $3,000 support, but a longer-term technical view suggests the current decline may be part of a much larger and more defined price framework. A macro analysis shared by crypto analyst Dona examines Ethereum’s behavior over the past two years with a structured range that suggests that the cryptocurrency might bottom at $2,187. Ethereum’s Two-Year Range Still Defines The Bigger Picture According to the analysis, Ethereum has largely traded within a broad ho…

The open was timid after the small beat in NFP that is getting outshined by the tick-up on the Unemployment Rate (UE Rate), leading to a worsening sentiment. (You can check the details of the report right here). A focus on the UE rate by Market Participants is logical, after a few months of unreliable public labor statistics from the US Stat Agency (the BLS). Still, they released October numbers at -105K (November came at +64K), which contributed to the higher UE. A concern on the growth of temporary jobs outshining long-term jobs is something to note for the alarmists, but private payrolls are also stabilizing after a long-lasting drop. …

In the latest Solana news, SOL price is under pressure as the network weathers an ongoing Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack reportedly peaking around 6 Tbps, while traders debate whether the token’s slide could accelerate. At press time on Tuesday, SOL was trading near the key $126 support area after three consecutive red days, with a roughly 1% daily loss and derivatives metrics indicating growing bearishness. The episode hits as broader crypto cools from highs, liquidity thins, and risk assets digest recent macro shifts and ETF-driven flows. Market Cap 24h 7d 30d 1y…

The Bank of England’s (BoE) final Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting of 2025, scheduled for December 18, arrives amid strong conviction from financial markets: a festive interest rate cut is imminent. After a recent pause, the BoE is widely expected to resume its easing cycle, a move necessitated by a stalling UK economy and confirmed disinflationary signals. However, the decision is far from unanimous, and the resulting vote split and crucially, the forward guidance that accompanies it and will determine the market reaction and the economic outlook for 2026. …

Seabridge Gold (TSX: SEA) (NYSE: SA) intends to spin out its wholly owned subsidiary that owns the Courageous Lake project in Canada’s Northwest Territories, one of its two advanced projects, and take it public. The move, says Seabridge’s chairman and CEO Rudi Fronk, would unlock what the company views as a “valuable” asset that has been “overshadowed for too long” by the bigger KSM project in British Columbia. According to the company, Courageous Lake is one of the largest undeveloped gold projects in Canada. Its contained gold inventory in the measured and indicated category is estimated at 11 million oz. (145.2 million tonnes at an average grade of 2.36 grams p…

Cardano’s ADA token has returned to a familiar but uncomfortable zone. After months of lower highs and failed recovery attempts, the price has slid back toward long-term support levels that have defined its structure for more than two years. The move comes amid a broader market pullback, as risk appetite weakens across equities and crypto, but ADA’s decline is also being shaped by internal technical signals that traders are finding hard to ignore. ADA currently trades near $0.38–$0.39, down approximately 5.57% over the past 24 hours. That drop places the token close to a multi-year ascending support trend line that has held for nearly 900 days. Derivatives and Posi…

The issue price represents a small discount to the stock’s closing price of A$6.65 in Sydney last week. This represents the third placement that Sunrise announced over the past month. Ethereum price (ETH USD) has broken below the psychologically key $3,000 level, with Ethereum price action now hovering in a fragile consolidation zone after a sharp sell-off. At the time of writing, ETH is trading around $2,900–$2,950, down roughly 5–7% over 24 hours, while its market cap has slipped toward the mid-$340 billion range. The move comes as nearly $600 million in leveraged crypto positions were flushed out in a single day, and traders brace for a potential volatility spike driven by weak technicals and mixed institutional flows. Cointelegraph notes that this band has been a recurring bounce area in recent weeks, suggesting some participants still see v…

According to reports, Coinbase has launched regulated futures linked to Shiba Inu, opening the token to trading on a US derivatives venue. The new products include perpetual-style contracts and monthly futures tied to what Coinbase calls the 1k SHIB index (a 1,000 token index), with trading scheduled to run 24/7. The rollout began on December 5, 2025, as part of a broader push by the exchange to add altcoin derivative listings under US rules. McEwen’s (NYSE, TSX: MUX) El Gallo project in Sinaloa, Mexico, has passed a key permitting milestone after the federal government approved an extension to the mine’s environmental impact assessment. Start of construction is targeted for mid-2026, with first gold pour to follow a year after, the Canadian miner added. Once in commercial production, Phase 1 is expected to deliver approximately 20,000 oz. in gold-equivalent production annually over 10 years. The company is also contemplating a Phase 2 expansion, which will invol…

Oil prices have been tumbling without stopping in a stable but continuous downtrend. A positive development that encourages cuts by reducing inflation expectations for consumers, but with prices back to January 2021 levels, producers are pressured to decrease investment in technology and rig development. For example, US Shale is known to be profitable at around $70 per barrel. As pressure mounts, producers can be squeezed out of the Market, which can then result in a too-short supply in the future, potentially raising future prices in the energy commodity. …

Bitcoin has retraced to the $85,000 level, a critical support zone that bulls must defend to prevent a deeper breakdown. After failing to reclaim higher levels, price action has slowed and volatility has compressed, reinforcing a market environment dominated by apathy and fear. Sentiment across the crypto space has deteriorated sharply, with a growing number of analysts openly discussing the possibility of a prolonged bear market extending into next year. In this context, understanding who is actually selling becomes far more important than the price move itself. According to a recent CryptoQuant report, Bitcoin’s pullback from the ~$88.2K region toward ~$85K provides …

Log in to today's North American session Market wrap for December 16 The session started on a sour note following the Non-Farm Payrolls (NFP) report, which sent conflicting signals to traders and initially weighed on sentiment. All indexes traded lower after a timid open until the mid-session, when major dip-buying stepped in as key psychological support levels came into play. The Nasdaq led the reversal, reclaiming 25,000 to turn positive on the day, while the S&P 500 and Dow Jones defended the 6,800 and 48,000 marks, respectively. The Unemployment Rate ticking higher—now sitting above the Fed's 2025 projections—initially sent chills through market participants. …

One of the cleaner tells in crypto is when the old supply decides it’s time. Not “made a quick 20% and clipped it” time — years old. That’s basically what Glassnode researcher CryptoVizArt flagged after an XRP wallet aged roughly 5–7 years (with a cost basis around $0.40) realized more than $721.5 million in profit on Dec. 11. A single wallet doesn’t “break” a market on its own. But the timing is the point: this wasn’t profit-taking into a rip. It landed while XRP was showing weakness right at the $2.0 key level. CryptoVizArt wrote via X: “On December 11th, a 5-7 year old XRP wallet address (with a cost basis of $0.4) realized over $721.5M in profit! A rare sizable pr…

Most Americans never stop to think about how many pennies remain in circulation, yet the answer is staggering. Billions of pennies continuously move through the economy, quietly reminding us how far the dollar has drifted from its former purchasing power. For pre-retirees and retirees, this reality provides an important lesson about inflation, currency erosion, and the need to protect long-term retirement savings with assets that hold intrinsic value, such as physical gold and other precious metals. The Surprising Volume of Pennies in Circulation and What It Reveals About Inflation There are tens of billions of pennies circulating in the United States at any given moment,…

XRP has slipped below the $2 level, a psychologically important threshold, as broader market conditions continue to deteriorate and selling pressure weighs on risk assets. While Bitcoin dominates liquidity and investor attention, altcoins are struggling to attract sustained demand, and XRP is increasingly reflecting this imbalance. According to a CryptoQuant report by Darkfost, the weakness in XRP is not an isolated event but part of a broader contraction across the altcoin market. Whether on spot markets or in derivatives, trading activity has been shrinking significantly over recent months. Liquidity is gradually drying up, signaling a clear retreat from speculative p…
